Small error, traction has no impact on off-road, but on slippery road such as sand, snow, ice... This stat therefore does not matter on babypark, given that It's not a slippery road ^^
Okay, not to be confusing but, the Baby Park this video's talking about is the one on the Switch/Wii U, not to be confused with the Gamecube version from Double Dash that has the same name. Although Double Dash's baby park speedrun is as much chaotic and wild as the switch one.
0:05 not true, mario kart tour is actually the game with the most tracks. as it has almost every single one, the only thing is that there are only somewhere around 20 tracks in a single tour, but they rotate every 2 weeks
"So you'd think that the world record on Baby Park would stay relatively the same, maybe with some very small improvements here and there, but in reality, this sentiment couldn't be any farther from the truth." The truth you are referring to: the world record staying relatively the same with some small improvements here and there Not trying to be a hater but cmon bruh 🥺 Dividing the video into "Part 1: The Birth of Baby Park / Part 2: 200 cc / Part 3: The Final Part......" looks very amateurish as well, it kind of takes away the narrative power. Wish you the best bro 🥺
IIRC the game looks at the times in the frames before and after crossing the finish line, and interpolates between them, based on by how much you overshoot the finish line from one frame to the other
this is an interesting topic for a video, but i have some constructive feed for you, if i can be a bit of a hater. by all means, delete this comment if you don't want negative reception on your video, i just felt compelled to share. your video has the stylings of summoning salt, the influence is clear, and you provide all the information clearly, as he does, but you've miss what really makes his videos compelling: story. summoning adds a narrative arc and emotional tone to his videos, where by comparison you are essentially just listing off a bunch of numbers and gamertags overlaying footage. i wanna hear about rivalries and friendships and trials and tribulations, not just hear that a number got lower - that's kinda mind-numbing! your assembly and editing is definitely commendable, by the way (god knows i wouldn't have the dedication to do all that), however your writing and pacing and direction just made the video fall really flat for me. like, for example, the bit where nintendo rebalanced all of the characters, that could have been a super hype reveal! but i feel like you had one line to lead in, something about a day of reckoning, a fade to black, and then you just plainly told us what happens. i feel like after the lead in, you should have had pictures of the new, crazy times, unnarrated, so that I the viewer am like: "oh shit, what's going on???" and then smash cut to footage of luigi (!) on the race course, so we're like clued in, and then go in and explain what happened so we have the full picture. a bit of "show, don't tell" if you get me. summoning salt is a master at this, it keeps viewers hooked. i do like how you structured the video into three parts but i feel like you need to take that structuring further, sometimes it feels like you're going on tangents a bit? like with the tied times, i would have done a lil music switch and made it a bit of a thing for itself. make parts within your parts, if you will. otherwise i feel like i'm getting a bit lost in the sauce. anyway man i'm just a rambling really idk. i'm not the one who has actually made a video that looks like it's doing pretty well (😁👍) so like honestly who cares what i have to say. i hope my thoughts were useful in some way. you're doing good!!
it's gonna be interesting to see how this video does 😅😅
It went well and I enjoyed it!
It's quite interesting, but very technical. Just as you'd expect from such a simplistic track.

Thanks Nintendo!
Time trialing Baby Park seems like it should be easy, but those coins are super hard to collect, and the lines you have to take are super strange.
I cant image sitting there drifiting around baby park for hours just to lower my time by .005 seconds lmao
Didn't expect such a quality voice over and scripting! Great job
"A world record that seemed untouchable", but then the fire nation attacked

Thanks.
I was so confused.
I was thinking why is he showing baby park footage from the switch when he's clearly talking about the GC version.
@@therealmrarchive It happens. People tend to confuse the same map as the one from the present compared to the earliest version. You're welcome.

There are definitely some other tracks/games that I'll most likely cover in the future!
Your channel is so good !!! Underrated for sure
I love the trend of putting "I promise this is interesting" in thumbnails. I mean it's usually true but it's amusing regarding.
isnt there that weird thing with using the game cube controller that makes turning hella sharper?

Because they were tooo silly

it checks your kart position over the finish line i think and it calcukates it from that :P

Hey, little youtube tip:
Call it "the most X"
like "competetive" track in the title and it looks so much more clickable.
'cause not everyone, who sees your video will know what much about baby park and it would be a shame since It's so wel done
It used to be the world record history of "mario kart's shortest track" but he changed it

no it wasnt
Use good music instead like Stravinsky or Bartok.
