Your walks seem to focus on Shropshire and Snowdonia. I grew up in Wolverhampton, and know these areas well. You say you’re interested in new routes. Well, I have a recommendation for mid Wales. From Barmouth you can summit Cadar Idris, where you can sleep in the bothy. Continuing NE you can follow the ridge line of the Arrans. That range drops you onto the shores of Llyn Tegid by Y Bala. It all takes two days, and transport is straightforward. You can use trains, or leave a car at the lake, take a bus to Barmouth and walk back. I’d also suggest the Black Mountains, especially Llanthony Priory. There is actually a pub in the basement . . .

What a great cabin away from it all. Enjoyed the video. I think having down time is vital for everyone. I have recently retired and now live adjacent to a wonderful national park in Australia. No light pollution at night and the stars on a clear night with the sounds of nature is trully humbling and relaxing.

Just like you, I wasted so much time waiting for someone to share my obsession with, thinking I couldn't hike and camp alone and I thought people would think i'm a weirdo for doing it if I'm honest. The best thing I ever did was pack my rucksack and head off into the Long Mynd for my first wild camp and i've never looked back. Your videos are some of the most relaxing on here and you have a way of drawing the viewer in, making us feel like we're there with you and you choose the perfect music. Absolutely brilliant!

That cabin in the hills looks amazing. It's always good to get away from a busy life and soak up some nature. There are places I go in northern Michigan where the cell service stops where the pavement ends. I "surprised" my niece's with that fact when we went camping. When they figured it out the look on their faces was hilarious! We explored a Lake Superior beach and lighthouse, cooked on a campfire and lived in the moment. They totally got it and can't wait for the next time😊 Thanks for sharing!

I tried a gadget detox for a week recently, my rule was not to use any gadgets that weren't available to me when I was a kid in the 80's. It turns out the only thing I was missing was the Internet, email and text messages. Not too hard but I had a billion youtube videos to watch the following week that undid the detox.

You are trying to change for the better, but look at you you haven’t any really bad vices like drugs, alcohol, gambling, you are already doing so much. You’re a good functioning person who is unscathed by vices. You have made it to this point of your life being a good worthwhile person.

We have a ranch in West Texas that has no TV and no cell reception. The silence in the ranch house will make your ears ring. lol

Yeah, never trust those OS Maps 🤭 There was a programme on TV during the past week saying that the benefits of stretching before exercise is a myth, and that if we were to snap something whilst doing so, i.e. when the muscles are cold, the result "might be irreversible" (!) Perhaps somebody reading this can remind me which programme it was, please...

You are discovering one of the best places to walk (in N.Wales) these days Elle - I have been camping and walking there for decades, I don't go to central Snowdonia any more. Much too busy. I have been borrowing a house at the northern end of the Rhinogydd for hols for 20 years, and I still find places I have not walked in yet. Tried to spot where you were for your short break, and I think you were down the south end somewhere, I spotted the Mawddach estuary at least. The farther north you go in the range, the quieter it gets, though your spot in this video was an exception I think, very nice :o) Was it Y Garn I could see across the way ? Surely the way to avoid your phone taking over is to leave it at home ? :0) You know how to use a proper paper map, so that's no excuse ! All the best, Dave (Gwent)

That was a good video with an interesting take re our relationship with tech. I’m an elderly chap and I find particularly during the winter months spending many hours RUclips or Facebook video watching; so it’s not just a young person’s problem 😢. Thank you for sharing.

You mentioned your Phone about 10 times, perhaps next time take a non Smart phone, you did however make me laugh when you mentioned your book was about Netflix, overall a relaxing video, as one other commenter has said, you do have a relaxing voice 👍
