What a beautiful walk through the countryside. The churches and history you shared with us was absolutely amazing. We have many old sandstone churches in the state of New York but not nearly the age of those in England. Loved this video and thanks for sharing your religious journey. God bless.
Thank you I’m really glad you enjoyed it 😊 ahh that is interesting! I’ve never been to NY state but I’ve heard it’s slightly similar geography to the UK! 😊
Awesome. I just done a 5 day pilgrimage from Newport Wales down to Glastonbury. I headed down for the solstice met some wonderful people and saw some amazing parts of the country along my journey. I set myself the task in the darkest days to see how our ancestors faired in the winter. Got a lot of respect for you cariad ❤
Without offending please accept my acknowledgement of how beautiful I find you, your soft spoken voice melts me, and if we did this together, you would have a coffee made ready for you. Yes I found the trails were overgrown if I do another one I would be better prepared with some tools. Sending you a heart warming hug on this new moon 🌚 ❤ blessings from your biggest fan Taff 😊
Great idea for a video blog. Interesting range of scenery/topics covered. Always love the evocative aspect of watching clips of summer countryside in the cold, dank mid winter. Reminds me that it will warm up again out there one day! Thanks.
That was an enlightening stroll. . I thank you for sharing. I wish you well with your journey. . May your new year bring health and enlightenment. . Keep your beautiful mind open. . You have a most relaxing voice and lovely accent. . 😁 Take care 🤗

I walked from past St Eata's from Shrewsbury this summer on my way to Ironbridge but someone was working in the grounds so I didn't go in, I grew up in Holywell in North East Wales where st Winifred lived and there's a popular holy well to this day, your route seems much nicer.

Lovely video, so interesting to see the Shropshire churches, all little gems tucked away among beautiful countryside. I’ve often thought of doing the two cathedrals pilgrims walk from Chester to Lichfield. It’s also fascinating to hear about your spiritual journey, I hope you feel able to share more as it progresses.
@@paullockley4891 ahh you should! I bet that would be amazing! Yes it was really interesting and I saw so much that I’ve never seen or heard of - very different way to experience the landscape! ☺️

Well good for you, Elle, on you joining the one true faith. There's a fair few pilgrimages you can do in the UK as you already know, but if you ever get the time I'd highly recommend any of the Caminos in Spain.

😁 A great historical and religious trail. Fantastic video and pilgrimage. Me and my friend love old churches and abbeys and my mission is to always look out for Knights Templar markings that were carved secretly in the stone work in some of our more ancient remaining churches and abbeys. 😁👍 I must do this trail sometime.. Thanks for taking us all along with your findings and pilgrimage x 😁
They are very rare and difficult to find. Mostly in churches and chapels that survived the refermation. Me and my friend use vicors to look into any history for us.. Ill definatley visit shropshire again and do this trail 😁@ethicalbunny
Hello Elle. I recently discovered your channel and found your video to be quite soothing and tranquil. I appreciated the insights you provided during your pilgrimage. Thank you for sharing your experience. Wishing you all the best. 👍👍
Langley Chapel is usually open, but it's locked over night by the local farm - did slightly confuse them the occasion I was there at dusk taking night photos of it lit up with flash as they arrived to close up for the day a fews years ago.
@@ethicalbunny lol - I see RUclips removed my direct links to the pics I took. Not to worry. It was a nice video I enjoyed watching 🙂
Thank you so much for bringing us along for the journey, I've been reading up on the Knight's Templar, they were present often at most 10th, 11th and 12th century churches, perhaps look for their graves at your next early church visit, there is a chuch near me in Hampshire where apparently wilfred of the round table donated the font in 800ad, it's on private land mind, but the Vicor will let you see it, if given appropriate respect
There is lots of their history around Shropshire and Shropshire is actually a site of one of the possible holy grails! I would love to do something on that although it’s a little off piste 😅
Congratulations on becoming a Christian. I loved this pilgrimage and the fascinating history. You've got such a calm voice - absolutely lovely to listen to. I've subbed.
Thank you 😊 hopefully I will get to do another couple in 2025! Was a very new experience for me and a different journey going from place to place 😊😊 glad you enjoyed it!
I always find ancient architecture fascinating, mostly castles and churches. There's a church I found years ago with grave stones carved in Latin, that and the castle gatehouse are all that's left of the village after bubonic plague swept through.
@ethicalbunny Whorlton village, just next to Swainby on the way north towards Stokesley in North Yorkshire. The castle was built in the 12th century and the gatehouse added in the 14th. You aren't supposed to climb the gatehouse and I wouldn't recommend it but you can see "ripples" in the next field where the houses were, the church is directly in front of the castle site and both are open to the public and free to visit. If I can find better directions or a grid reference I'll let you know if you're in the area.
What a lovely video and thanks for sharing. The weather in July was so wet. I'm not a Christian but you inspired me so I will have to do that walk during 2025.
I know ha ha I don’t even feel like we had a summer! Would recommend it but take a map as some of the paths were quite hard to find and go through farmers fields!😊
The composer Ralph Vaughan Williams did a song cycle called On Wenlock Edge 1909, worth a listen to. Indeed, Guy Hayward's org BPT has at least 80 British pilgrim routes, thanks for filming one.

@ I was in Shropshire years ago with the RAF but haven’t been there for a long time. My parish is Our Lady of Dolours in Fulham. We are blessed to be the Church where Blessed Carlo Acutis was baptised and we have a relic of his on display. His beatification was 2020 and will be canonised April 2025. You should check out the South Downs way and divert off to see Arundel Cathedral and Arundel Castle. Loads of Catholic artefacts including the rosary of Mary Queen of Scots which she had with her at her execution and her bracelet containing a relic of the true cross. Good luck with the channel and your adventures.

Start at Hereford cathedral and sleep in the cloisters, then over several days walk round Herefordshire stopping in the medieval churches. Lovely facilities and well managed. Most can be locked during the night too for safety. Oh and there's tea and coffee facilities... Even hot water bottles! Maybe worth looking into
