    The boots thing happened to me once but what I did was I put a carrier bag inside my boot and then slipped my foot in just to keep the wet out and as soon as I got home they went in the recycling lol , but a carrier bag really works 👍

    I would recommend Lowa boots, have used them for years with no issues. Some models you can get re-soled too when they wear out.

      Hope your new boots last you well.
      I bought Gelert ones from Sports Direct they last me 4 months and split down the side, big hole in them.
      They were so comfortable, I'm hoping just had a bad one. I’ve just got same ones again. If these break I'll never get them again.
      I'm hoping to do the Welsh 3 peaks soon, or the Cats back.
      You mentioned a big hike, the Dragons Back Waun fach is so nice, I prefer it to Pen y Fan. Can't remember if you done a vid there Waun Fach.
      I went in Jan I think. Loved it.
      Blaen y Glyn Uchaf is amazing too, you have waterfalls one side, a plane crash site, big hike from there to Fan y Big , F is V. Fan a big has the diving board, then on to Cribyn, Corn Du ( Tommy Jones memorial 1900) Pen y Fan.
      You could make a few awesome vids there. I use alltrails it's all on there.
      Sure you know all that.
      You've been doing it longer than me.
      I done a few bad vids there. I just got a gimbal that will help with my next one.
      I'm hoping to some in England soon.
      If you have any tips where to go please tell me one day.
      Hope you have a good weekend and find more wild garlic.😁
      Thanks for your vids.
      Hope your new boots are nice and comfortable. 😉👋

    Gave me flashbacks to my TA days 😊The route up from the car park was nicknamed ‘The Motorway’ and was out of bounds and the DS used lie in wait there 😳 Thanks for bringing back good memories!

    Well those boots are quitters bit you sure aren't. Well done! You go to some amazing and beautiful places alright. Right on about getting outdoors in all weather and seasons, same with me😊 Funny I tried to glue the soles back onto my otherwise good shape Keen hiking shoes a while back. It didn't work either and days later still smelled so bad I had to drive with the window down😅 Thanks for sharing!

It didn’t work that is why I tried the tape 😊 glad to be able to share all this beautiful countryside with everyone 😊😊 thanks!

    Well done girl, nice one. Just lob those boots in the bin when you get home then you'll be forced to go and buy a new pair. Think you're gonna just have to bite the bullet and splash out. I've got a pair of Scarpa Mantas which are 20 years old and still going strong. Got a couple of pairs of Mammuts too. One 3 season and the other a winter boot which takes a cramp on. Both Mammuts are really comfortable and have a patented rolling action technology built in. Wish I discovered them years ago. Not cheap, £220 + but worth every penny and last for years. Cheers,Ozzy .

    • @ethicalbunny
      @ethicalbunny  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you Ozzy! Which are the ones you can attach a crampon top? I had a look at scarpas but there was no way to attach a crampon and I would like some for this year that I can wear all year around a think … yes it is a lot but I always think about the price per ware!😊😊

    • @stephenoverthrow2463
      @stephenoverthrow2463 9 месяцев назад

      @ethicalbunny Hello Bunny! I think the Scarpas are called Manta or SL. Can't really remember as I've had the a good 20 years now. I haven't worn them for about 5 years since I discovered the Mammuts, which I now prefer over the Scarpas. The model I have are the Trovat High GTX. They're a 4 season boot, leather with gortex liner, crampon compatible, and as I said before they are so comfy. Also, fairly light for a 4 season boot. I paid around £230 for mine at Go Outdoors. The Scarpas are an excellent boot, but fairly heavy,with firm to hard footbed. Always glad to get them off after a long day, where as I can keep going with the Mammuts. Hope this helps and good luck. Cheers,Ozzy.

    • @ethicalbunny
      @ethicalbunny  9 месяцев назад

      @@stephenoverthrow2463 thank you for your advice! I do like them and I tried them on but I was told you can’t have a crampon and I found them quite heavy so we will see! ☺️☺️

    • @stephenoverthrow2463
      @stephenoverthrow2463 9 месяцев назад

      @ethicalbunny Okay, keep trying. The Mammuts definitely take a cramp on. To be fair, unless you're going to be walking in extreme winter conditions 9 times out of 10, you're not gonna need crampons on anyway. We go upto Glen Coe each winter from Cheltenham and to be honest, the way the winters are now with global warming, I've only used my crampons twice in 10 years. Half the time, those slip on spikes you can get work just as good. Cheers, Ozzy.

    Hey! I did leave a comment and link to a new pair of boots on the other video but I think the link got blocked! The boots that I recommend are the Salomon Women’s Onis Mid GORE-TEX® Hiking Boots from blacks.
