Wow bro, I absolutely love your channel. This and your other The Velvet Underground stuff is just insane! Like I've seen a few of your songs you re-do, and this here is so well done. I wish i had the music performance bug just wasn't built for it. But great stuff. I take your content seriously. Great stuff.

Absolutely lovely I stumbled on your channel. Your stuff on The Velvet Underground. I've always loved them but recently I got into their stuff a little deep. Is that all you doing some of their songs? Holy if it is, much respect. That's seriously amazing. Pulling some Paul McCartney shit. Thank you. This one is good. Can't wait till you hit Lou.

Now some nitpicking: you played tambourine throughout straight 1 beat 2 beats (on 2 / 4 /and). That is not the case in the original, since there are 2 additional beats in "she turns once more to sunday's clown" (on "sunday's"), makes it a 6/4 bar (or an addtional 2/4).

Fantastic job! Sounds spot on. Perhaps because I'm lefthanded, I can't quite make out your fingering for the C#m7b9 chord - would it be an F maj7 chord shape in normal tuning? I can't seem to get the same sound as you.

The original recording of this is so lo-fi it's hard to hear what's going on. I always thought there was viola back there somewhere.

I'm from Detroit and never knew there was footage of the mod wedding at the State fair Coliseum. Incredible. Where did you find that?! Ah, that was Dave Faison who beat the car with a sledgehammer! I had seen that photo and wondered who that was! The MC5 also played that show. Wow, so much has come out in the last twenty years that I never could've dreamed of. Audio from the Upbeat appearance?! How did I not know about that?! I always assumed they would've lip synched. They played live in the TV studio. Too bad the video was lost. It's a miracle the audio popped up.

Man, I love the attention to detail in every way, for example the period correct photos. I never knew how Steve Sesnick was originally connected with the band. An important "blink and you'll miss it" detail. Also, Herb Cohen, like Albert Grossman, was ruthless.

Jim Morrison basically stole Malanga's look with the blouse, leather pants and concho belt.

$18,000 in the first week. About $168,976 in today's money. No wonder Albert Grossman was sniffing around.

Sterling says, "assaulted" in the Studs Terkel interview. Not "desalted". This is so great. I could only dream about something like this when I was a young VU fanatic in the mid 80s. Thank you.

What a thing, this was. Bravo, well done. Tears at the end, but delight throughout.

I saw Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground do this in a small venue called the Trauma in Philadelphia 1969. It was a small crowd about 30 people really high energy sound. You guys nailed it ...the sound and the energy.

I love the parts in these videos where you show how the different parts are played. Especially Sterling's bass parts for Venus in Furs, which I had not realised were as subtly complex as they are until I saw you play it. I'm always just listening to the viola in that song.
