I didn't want the wood grain on the walls and sanding it was too much work. I saved money in other places by doing it myself. But I hear ya. Lots of ways it could have been done for sure.

lmao, I've since wiped them down. The mouse and keyboard are the worst offenders. That's what I get for shooting it in 4k!

Oh yeah, I have to stay on top of dusting. It's like having a black car, lol. I'm going to get an air filter for the space and see if it helps reduce it.

Because I wanted to keep the option to expose the wood later if I wanted to change it back without damaging it. I didn't want to stain it dark and have to re-sand it in the future.

It was about $4k. Some things I already had of course, like my computer, chair, some accessories like the mouse and keyboard. And in the video I call out anything a brand sent me to check out. If you count some of the filming tools I purchased, like the hanging overhead light, Maybe closer to $5k-$6k

I am working on a second setup in this space that will have wood again, but I really to see how far I can take the mostly black idea.

Things in this economy are making things tough. I only recommend it for the people that can afford it and want the boost. Just like PC gamers, take it as far as you want/can that you'll be happy with.

Yeah, I would always do the same too. It sucked having to do that instead of 60 fps, but having not to worry about it anymore is nice. It's really going to be up the devs in future games to see how far they can push it.

I'm currently mostly using a 14" M1 Macbook Pro with 16gb of ram mainly for content creation and I use a Lenovo windows laptop for work. I also have a gaming window laptop, but it's a bit outdated at this point as is my old gaming PC. I am going to build a new state of the art Gaming PC in the near future, but currently saving towards it.

That's a great idea. Free 6 months to a year of playstation premium. I like it.

Hi. That controls the monitor light bar on top of the monitor. Benq makes those and that control puck is wired. There are versions with wireless ones.

I have a pc gaming laptop, but need to build a new one as it's a bit outdated now.

And now you can have the best of both worlds!

Valid opinion. It's an enthusiast purchase for sure. If they had only included at least the drive and maybe an edge controller, it might feel a bit better. I'm sure as time goes on though, devs will push it to it's true potential. I'm thinking GTA 6 might be the one.

@ its the second reason reason why I bit the bullet, but for the time being, I’m sitting on an $800 brick. Forgot to mention that every store within my search range is down to their last PS5 pro/only one available written in red. A great ploy to trigger you into a purchase I’d say given the shortage that we’ve all came through in the recent past. They really have their chit dialled this time around in tricking people into purchasing these consoles. The same tactic was used in tricking me into upgrading my iPhone actually now that I think about it.

@@hemigod2 Oof. I held out for a long time on my new iphone. I had my 12 pro for 4 years and the battery was finally going. So i'll try and keep my current iphone for another 4-5 if possible.

For what those things cost they should not go stale before five years . my own started showing signs of planned obsoletion as it was case kept never dropped ,never had surgery yet it wouldn’t recognise its own cameras which eventually ceased function but had gotten worse with every update. And it’s not that my picture quality in the new phone is better., it’s exactly the same as how my 12 pro max was when it was brand-new before it started getting grainy with time and updates. Software trickery/manipulation I tell ya.

@@hemigod2 Yeah, $1k for a phone should last as long as their macbooks. I figured I'd at least get good use out of the updated camera for when I need a B-cam for the youtube channel.

@@dronixxx5060 I disagree. They sell a lot for a reason. Some people prefer to play on a large tv on a couch and others on a PC at a desk. Some both.

I think with 60hz you'll be good, so trading in the old one to go towards it isn't a bad idea. If you run games at 120hz through hdmi 2.1, I think the resolution goes back down. So it's a trade off in some games.

For sure and same here! There are so many games I played on fidelity, like FF7 Rebirth, because the performance mode looked so blurry and like butt, even though the frame rate was so smooth. lol If you have the setup and the funds, and you want the strongest console, I say go for it! I think sony mentioned a 10 year life span for this console cycle, but I could be wrong.

It's very case by case on this one. In this economy, price is a big factor for sure. And sony could have done a few minor things to make it more enticing or feel like a better. Even showing off GTA 6 running on it would have enticed people more. It's starting to feel more and more like pc gaming during this console cycle.
