What a great video! I was just looking into getting monitor light and a dock since I have work and personal PC, so thanks for this! Question, what model is that ultra-wide monitor?
Thanks! There are so many docks out there and they are very useful. That's the Aorus 49" Oled. It's the same panel as the samsung, but cheaper and less QC issues. Zeus actually recommended it to me. I covered it in his setup tour video. I think I need to film your setup soon! 😃
The shots of the wireless light control.... 🔥 I have two different sized monitors that I aligned at the bottom. Do you think I could put the light on the larger one and still have it work ok?
Thanks! You can place it where you find it most useful, it doesn't need to be centered. Especially if your monitors are on normal stands. I'd say, place it where it also lights up your keyboard, mouse, and desk mat. It really adds to the vibe.
@@Ideal-Setup Awesome! Good to know. I've got my monitors set up with one straight at me and the other off to the side at an angle, so I guess it'd go on the main one. That would illuminate my keyboard and mouse too 👍
Thank you It's actually a piece of butcher block wood that we cut and then wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl wrap. I'm going to cover the process in the next video, so you'll see it soon.
Thank you and thanks for watching! It's the Aorus 49" OLED. It's actually the same OLED panel that's on the samsung odyssey series, but less QC issues and cheaper. Next video will be a deep dive into how I built this new setup.
Thanks for watching! The next video is about how I built this setup, so stay tuned. The keyboard is the Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless keyboard full size and with clicky switched, but they have other options.
The more niche (more focused) you are, the more likely companies reach out to you so you can share their products. I focus on desk setups and tech. It would be illegal for me to lie and say I bought those products. If you get good views, engagement, and have a quality they like, they will reach out. Again, there is no payment involved. I've only been able to get one actual paid sponsorship, So if you see some of those and with well known brands, then I would understand your thoughts. I guess I could show my email inbox in a future video and speak to it a little if you think that information would help your channel. Let me know, happy to help :)
@@Ideal-Setup I’d really appreciate it if you could make a video about that, especially showing a glimpse of your email inbox and how these opportunities come through. It would be incredibly helpful to see how companies approach you and what the process looks like from your end. Seeing that level of transparency would give me so much hope and motivation to invest more into my own channel. It would also reassure smaller creators like me that it's possible to build something worthwhile, even when starting out with fewer subscribers. Your insight could make a huge difference!
@@desisparta For sure! I get it as I'm still pretty small myself. I have a video i;m working on now about how I built this new desk setup and next I have one on just products that were sent to me that I need to showcase. In that video, i'll include a brief part for anyone interested at the end on how it's been working for me so far, with some tips. I checked out your channel and you have some cool stuff. My advice for you right away, is to maybe make a new channel with just your desk setup and product videos. Keep it separate from your gaming content. Your channel will grow quicker that way and brands want to see that focus. Then see what other more successful channels are doing in that space. That's what I do to learn from them
just too let ya know ya is underestimating your ultra wides did you know you can use dual pc because my cousin has a 49 inch ultra wide he uses his mac book and his gaming pc on the left is his mac book on the right is his windows gaming pc some times he uses his console on the right side . do you know that your ultra wide uses pip and pbp ?????
Oh yeah, that's one of the benefits of going this wide. I probably could have shown that off in the video, but didn't think of it as I mostly use the entire screen when I'm working, lol. Good call!
Good question! I have the speaker audio jack cable connected to my monitor directly. So it will play audio from anything displayed on it. The HDMI also carries the audio information. I try to connect everything I can to the monitor itself so there are less cables to hook up to my docks.
@@Friday.C666 That's what's working for me on my monitor. The cable that has the red and white tips that go into the main speaker, and the other end is the audio hack. Just tested it on my work laptop to be sure, which is windows. I made sure the sound was set to the benq dock, and then it plays from my monitor speakers, which suck.....but with the good speakers plugged into the monitor audio jack, it plays through them. Hope this helps! I know everyones setup is different.
@@Ideal-Setup What you’re describing should be the RCA to 3.5mm connection to the monitor’s audio headphone jack. I checked your monitor’s brand and model, and it indeed only has this headphone jack. Thank you so much for sharing your setup; it’s been really helpful to me!
They are from Edifier. I placed a link to them in the video description. They are beautiful aren't they? I'll cover them more in the next video which is about how I built this setup.

is this add on for the camera a separate purchase or included with the Halo ? First time i see it
It can be added in as a bundle or purchased on it's own. I just updated the links in the description for it.
What keyboard are you using? Dope setup btw

No way a 1k sub channel with 21 vids had companies sent you free stuff.
