So many desk setup videos keep suggesting some ridiculously expensive stuff. That's not a problem in principle, since there are plenty of people out there who don't mind spending the money and are looking for what to buy for their desk setups, but I appreciate the fact that there's someone out there suggesting relatively cheaper options.
Thanks for watching and I agree with your comment. Most setups we see have taken a long time and lots of hard work to be able to afford. The most important thing in a setup is that it works for you and you can upgrade over time if you feel you need to. I personally geek out over new tech that might apply to me, but need to be strategic with what I purchase like everyone else.
I have same pair - mx master 3 and deltahub carpio 2.0, but I actually had a problem with pain in my wrist _before_ I tried carpio (with any mouse after 6-8 hours of work), and it kinda helped me to get rid of this pain. I think it depends on lot of things - your mouse movement habits, your mouse grip, and if you are ok without wrist rest stuff - no need to add something else :) Anyway, tnx for a great video!
bros setup is so simple no flashy RGB all the things shown are incredibly functional and money well spent unlike other reviewers which go all out spending tons of money just for gimmicky stuff, loved to see some actual thought put into work behind this setup within a budget.
I feel so validated about my Carpio 2.0 opinions. I got the left and right hand wrist rests. The right hand one is okay most of the time, but the left one is uncomfortable a lot. I'm always readjusting my wrist whenever I'm typing on it. The padding on the thinner portion of it just feel non-existent. I had a cheap Amazon one that was shaped similarly but without the gap in the middle and it was a hundred times more comfortable.
I know we're not the only ones that had this issue. It's really tough as everyone is a little different. Hope they address this concern with their next design. Thanks for watching!
check out logitech lift mouse bro, I guaratee it will solve all of your ergonomic issues. most of the functions on the mx3 are available on the lift. just missing the horizontal scroll wheel. It's a fair trade off for long term comfort in my opinion
Wow, that looks legit! Thanks for the recommendation. I don't really have any pain with the mx master 3, but I think this looks like a great one to try next. I don't use the horizontal scroll wheel very much, so I'd be okay with losing that. I might just miss the metal normal scroll wheel.
Beautiful setup! I had the same issue with my wrist rest when I switched from a normal mouse to the Logitech mx3. I actually really liked using it with my old razer mouse and had no issues, but since the mx3 is already so ergonomic I’m guessing using the wrist rest only worked against it? Since the hand isn’t in the natural intended position. Overall really enjoyable video! :-)
Thank you! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one that had that issue. I think for me, it felt like I was forcing extra pressure on it which caused the pain. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I returned my Carpio as had the exact same issues. I've 2 mice in my setup. MX Master 3 (Productivity) and the Logitech G Pro Wireless (gaming) and same issues when using either so don't definitely not a compatibility issue with the mouse. Great setup though and very well thought out.
Great setup, and great channel! I felt the exact same way about the Deltahub Carpio! I got the first version, and it just sat in my desk for over a year, until I got a new job and now I use it at work daily, and I am loving it! For me it was probably the mouse I use at work, which it the Razer Basilisk, whereas at home I have a Razer viper that it did not work with at all.
Thanks man! And thanks for sharing about your experience with the Carpio. I was having a hard time trying to figure out why it was hurting me. Trying a different mouse might do the trick. But then again, we're all slightly different ergonomically. I'll check out the Basilisk.
Deltahub (Carpi 2.0 and G2.0) worked for me on the g502 x plus and g502 x lightspeed BUT definitely not for the master 3s. Preference wise the G2.0 helped with the palm sweat but both versions felt uncomfortable for the master 3s. Ironically, I just choose not to use a wrist rest when using my master 3s and it works out fine. Love the video! Keep up the grind!
@Ideal-Setup hopefully, but I don't think I would try it again if the base is still the same. For my use case, I only ever use it when I'm using the g502 x plus while gaming. Anything else is my master 3s without any wrist rest. Just feels natural.
Fantastic video! I enjoyed the single long video to see how the whole setup works as a whole. I like that you have a variety of products at different price points. The most expensive doesn't always mean the best, and you prove that in this video. Everything looks great together, and seems like they serve your needs perfectly which is what's most important at the end of the day. Can't say I have any experience with the wrist rest. I have an old MX Master and have never had any wrist pain so I've never thought about getting one.
Thanks man! You definitely don't need the most expensive items for your setup and slowly work your way up over time to what works for you and what you like. I love seeing how people add their own personality into their setups. That's probably my favorite part. You get to know a little bit about the person and who they are. Yeah, I didn't either. But since I saw everyone had one and I'm a sucker for ergonomics, I bought it. Very surprised how it turned out.

Thanks! I just googled goku illustrations, lol. It's just an image I turned into a wallpaper to match my setup. If you reverse image search it on google, it should pop up.
I saw the carpio then the price tag and said nah. Instead I got a generic one from aliexpress when ordering some magnetic cables and it works wonders. It sits lower and its all one piece instead of 2 with a gap and soft but firm, if that's a way to describe it.
Yeah, $40-$50 for one of those is a bit steep. I guess it wouldn't have been such a big deal if it didn't turn out so bad for me. I'll check Ali Express for something similar. Would be interesting to compare in the future. Thanks for sharing!

I purchased it at Home Depot. It's a butcher block top. They have different sizes. Then I stained it and sealed it. Required some light sanding between coats.
@@GeekCulture101 I'd say keeping everything organized and only placing what is actually needed on your desk for the video. Then managing cables decently will help it show well. How did you connected your speakers to your audio interface? Because I saw that interface have two speakers output, on for right and one for left. It is possible to connect to either one and work normally?
You need to get 2x 1/4" short cables (left and right) and 2x 1/4" to RCA adaptors I believe. I'm not an audio expert so maybe someone at an audio store can better help or there is a detailed video somewhere. They won't work right just plugging them into one of the channels. @@Ideal-Setup Thank u very much ...appreciate ua efforts
bro why is everything so greasy lol you might want to get wipes to just keep on your desk to wipe your hands down cuz damn
lmao, I've since wiped them down. The mouse and keyboard are the worst offenders. That's what I get for shooting it in 4k!
Fix the balance in the damn music. I like my right ear don’t want bass jumping into my ear out of no where.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Are you talking about the intro song itself or some other portion of the video?
If it's the intro, that's just how the original track is, I didn't create it or mess with it. I even lowered the volume for it a little.
@@Ideal-Setup the intro. all the bass is to the right ear. I don’t know why. i guess the sound engineer hates right ears.
@@goldenghostgod5333 lol
Ugh, put the desktop icons back where they're supposed to be. This is macOS, not Windows.
And where should they be? Is there any extra software you like to use to organize them?
@@Ideal-Setup On the right. There's a reason for that dating back to the original Macintosh.
You just need functioon
It is the most important aspect for sure.
Those keyboard covers are the worst things for computers. Throw them away right away let the keyboard wear out.
Haha, why don't you like them? Or is it just an aesthetic thing?
Can cause tension on your MacBook hinge when you close it!
@@madznDz Thank you for that info! I've been using them since 2022 without issues. But may need to reconsider now.
@@Ideal-Setup if you absolutely want to use a keyboard cover, use one as thin as possible (to avoid putting tension on the hinge)
Sick setup btw 🤝
@@madznDz Appreciate it! These are pretty thin and form to the keys, but I'll see what else I can find or maybe I just ditch them all together if I can't find any.
Wallpaper on the main Monitor please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe it's from this artist. He did an amazing job as a tribute to the late Akira Toriyama. Seems to be going around on the internet: www.deviantart.com/matrixmural/art/Tribute-to-Akira-Toriyama-1029419857
