I have been fortunate to see the gaming room come together from the start. But when you get to see it unfold like this all at once, you get a better appreciation of not only the time it took and maybe a touch of OCD. You also take away the confidence that even us RUclips DIY people can tackle not only LED but ideas for how to place them, soldiering, programming, failures and you went about fixing them. And so much more @ChrisMaherDIY thank you for the time you take to not only walk us through the how and what but for showing us that even the "teacher" has opps moments or doesn't like how the original lay was done. Hats off to you!
Nanoleaf Blocks are the best lighting setup I ever saw, so far 🤯 So simple, minimalistic, yet so powerful... great job. Setting it that way is an art itself 👍
I’ve also been watching setup tours for last few years, and I can say yours is easily one of the best I’ve seen. Watching the whole thing come together is so satisfying. Congratulations on making a perfect setup!
I just found your videos two days ago and I was immediately hooked. I was just in the middle of binge watching and then I got this notification. The timing couldn’t be more perfect lol.
You helped me gain the confidence to start lighting my office with led strips inside of diffusers. I now have 3 esp32 boards with wled inside of home assistant with a motion sensor and some scenes for different times of day. I want to thank you for the technical tutorials and teaching.
@@ChrisMaherDIYman that’s an incredible job with how you installed everything having the knowledge to know how to cut and hang your stuff. I’m always over thinking the process and afraid of messing up. I’ve always wanted to hang my tv and hide the wires through the walls, but I’ve heard so many people say if you ever have a fire and they find out you put power cables through the wall, you could potentially not be covered. I’m like you and awe over all these setups, Tesseract is one of them. Something I have been wanting to do is start creating content whether be a gaming/tech channel or a lifestyle but it’s overwhelming the process. When it comes to filming how do you go about recording while working a project making sure it’s in frame/focus batteries don’t run down etc? Do you just film a long video stopping to move your camera around, or do you only film certain clips.
I have followed since the beginning and your videos have inspired me, even as a wood worker, to build some things in my office. The room looks great, kudos to you Chris.
Absolute inspiration 🙌 Found your channel a few months ago, and I wish i had seen it sooner! The setup, the planning, is ridiculously amazing. Everything is brilliant. All the lighting ✨️ I'd love to make something like this. Amazing 🤯
awesome Chris, been following you for quite some time and as I'm moving to my new house in a few months I'll be re-watching all your videos as inspiration. Thank you!
Looks amazing! You always make it look so easy lol. Thanks for always being there and giving us advice on these kinds of setups! I credit you with a lot of the stuff that I'm doing in my own office and a house.
Awesome setup the only thing I think that you could do to improve is to put a 3D wall panels behind your projector screen from wall end to wall end they just make the tv sync lights look cooler imo
Tbh i wanna make a table like this, but at the legs im gonna connecct the 2 together and have 1 side connected to the power so it back tracks the light stream up and down on one leg, also adds a look of it flowing in and out of the top light trim
I love your videos! Great job. The only thing that bugs my eyes are the Mic arm and the Keylight arm both being black. Would look so much better if they were spray painted white. And take white vinyl wrap and do the black bezel on your monitor for a truly all-white setup! I wish I had half your talent!!
The desk gives me nightmares...in a good way. I just moved into a house and taking down my sit/stand L-desk and putting it back together has been a complete pain in my ass but it's glorious when it's the way you want it.
Hi Chris, I love all that you do. Just one friendly correction. I understand you are just saying what the LED manufactures have written on their strips and I have seen in their instructions , but Chinese manufactures are Wrong as usual. The connections are Positive and Neutral - NOT Ground as you keep referring. Ground is usually Green in wire color schemes and that is used for 120V connections for Safety. Red usually Positive and White Neutral. Keep it going Brother!!
The TV setup is absolutely stunning! I would love to see how other sync boxes compare to Signal with the same LED setup. I'm also curious why you went with 60 LEDs/m instead of something like 100 for the strips around the screen. Was it due to the limitations of the program?
bro started following ya and i have to tell ya, thanks for showing us the way. and your gaming man cave look sick. envy X 100000. lol. what would be one thing that you would like to add next?
Thanks so much!! I think I need a couch or sitting area. I like things open and clutter free but I'd say trying to find a nice couch or loveseat that can be moved around easily would be next on my list!
Hi Chris, great video. I've been interested in LED strip lighting for a long while but didn't dare to take the plunge as I'm a noob. Just a question. For commercial strip lighting such as Govee, they comes with a power adapter and a plug which you can connect to your power outlet to drive the LED. But what if I want to control the turning on and off of the LED via wall light switch? Can it be done? If so, how?
