    Loved all the suggestions, especially the Edifier for I've been looking at them for a while. You gained a follower today. You calm but clear way of speaking is definitely a score!

    I don’t know why, this video feels more like a desk set up tour than a helpful desk accessory video

    • @Ideal-Setup
      @Ideal-Setup  Год назад +1

      Maybe it's the video style? The thought was documenting the journey of making this desk setup and explaining why I chose certain products that I thought would level it up for me. How can I make similar videos more helpful in the future?

      I agree. It's much better than someone yelling at me about how I should set up my desk. The video appearance is great too. It's easy on the eyes.

    +1 on the speakers, have been using them for almost 8 years now and still very satisfied. The remote gave up and I had to replace the on-off switch but other than that great quality! 👍

    Another excellent video! That cable management segment triggered me 😆 That tray is pretty nice to keep things off the ground yet accessible if you do need to remove chargers and such if you need to take your laptop somewhere. I don't have mood lighting or monitor lights like you do, but I do have a desk lamp. I like the way it looks, but it does take up valuable desk space. I might have to check out those light strips for my desk and other areas of my house. I want some under cabinet lighting in my laundry room.

    • @Ideal-Setup
      @Ideal-Setup  Год назад

      Thank you! Sorry for the trigger, lol. It's really daunting to do cable management. I'm still new to it, but before going crazy on it, I want to wait until my desk setup is at a good spot. Maybe whenever I try out a standing desk in the future.
      The desk lamp is a tough decision. Space versus function. I removed mine and am I miss how it lit my face during video calls and I don't have a window nearby.
      Those light strips are fun and cheaper than the Hue lights. I don't think they draw too much power too, but don't quote me on that. lol

    • @StevesGarage
      @StevesGarage Год назад +1

      @@Ideal-Setup Cable management is daunting. It's also an 'out of sight out of mind' type of item for me. But it doesn't change the fact that a mess of power cords still exists under my desk.
      Having light for a video call is definitely important. I'm the same way where I don't have a window nearby to offer me natural light.
      Yea, I'm sure they're not much of a draw. Plus any kind of indirect lighting is always nice.

    Are those two Logi receivers? One looks like a Bolt receiver. You can use the Logi Unifying software to make your two devices connect to a single Logi Bolt receiver instead of one for each.

    For the speakers, do they auto reduce the volume if not used for a while?

    • @Ideal-Setup
      @Ideal-Setup  11 месяцев назад

      Great question. I just messed around with them on my laptop and the volume remained where I left it (left high on purpose)when leaving them idle, closing the laptop for a while and coming back.
      However, when powering off the speakers and turning them back on, the volume level reduced itself to being not as loud.
      Hope this helps.

    • @Ideal-Setup
      @Ideal-Setup  Год назад

      It is a butchers block. It's 78" x 25" and I got it at home depot. It was actually a little longer, but I cut it to fit the space. Then stained, sealed, and sanded it slightly with a high grit.

      @@Ideal-Setup whats the diffrence between a normal mouse pad and a felt one?

    • @Ideal-Setup
      @Ideal-Setup  11 месяцев назад

      @@traddpowell6863 It's really just the material itself and how it feels, how you personally like it, and even the way the mouse glides over it. But that also varies based off the mouse.
      It really is personal preference more than anything. I like this one because it's affordable, has good grip on the back side so it doesn't slide around, and feels cozy plus matches the look i'm going for.

    BUT... what's that thing holding the phone on the stand?

    • @Ideal-Setup

      It's part of the Balolo Setup Cockpit. It's a desk a modular desk shelf that lets you install accessories they sell and place them wherever you want around the shelf, just like the laptop.
      My first video is an unboxing/review of the product if you want to check it out.
