Thumper The VS1400 Suzuki Intruder
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.Год назад
In today's vlog, I finally introduce you to my new Suzuki Intruder VS1400, Thumper. Thumper came into my possession a little over a year ago and I have been tinkering on and off to get him back on the road. Thumper is the birthchild of decades of tinkering, engineering and many bottles of red wine. His previous owner, Grey Wolf, spent thousands of hours on this bike, customising, modifying, mac...
Is this the end of Helga the Intruder?
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.2 года назад
After years of blood, sweat, and tears...Countless hours and thousands of pounds in parts...My beloved Suzuki Intruder VS1400 has taken a huge punch to the gut. Shortly after releasing my last video titled "I'm Back", Helga, my Suzuki Intruder, has had serious, bottom-end problems and is in need of a full-engine tear-down. Finding chunks of magnetic metal in the oil the size of nickels/pennies ...

Suzuki Intruder VS1400: Jet Kit Install - Rebuild Part 13
Просмотров 26 тыс.3 года назад
How to install a stage 3 jet kit on a Suzuki Intruder VS1400. The process of installing a stage 3 jet kit on the intruder is quite advanced and I highly recommend that you approach this modification with caution. Not only are you permanently changing the physical state of the carburettors slide, but you are also going to need patience and a good understanding of how to TUNE these carbs after th...

Thanks! I knew it was a matter of installing more diodes, because I've changed the rear ones 2 years ago, worked fine, not so when you do the front ones too. For KAWASAKI KLX250S you will have a GREY wire, and a DARK GREEN ONE. Grey one is the positive. So, in translation: Suzuki Kawasaki LIGHT GREEN = GREY BLACK = DARK GREEN I had to remove the dash, to find that out. Got the diodes from a broken car CD player.... I think they still use kangaroos for mail, here in central new south wales. Good luck getting anything quick, around this time of year.
You should have show the hidden screw on the front air box!!
Great channel mate! How did you remove that stupid M8 nut off the front cylinder (the one that connects the head to the cylinder)? You only showed the easy part, which's the rear cylinder.
Hey Brother, how are you? Busy as always?
Awesome job dude
It will be interesting to see a reveal, an exposé of the other fellows Intruder you mentioned? I have a madman project forming at present with a sport bike frame and VS engine. The other point is the shade tree, swingarm mod you are riding here? It's been a few years since your focus on the video scene. I do hope you may have some time to go into that discussion and post a new video or that you have already done so. Just somehow I've missed it during my scan of your video files on YT. Good video this and the same problem I have with my Intruder 1400 barn find.( appears that's the terminology) 10,000 miles has barely ticked over and it's been in storage for seven years when I discovered it. The finish is oxidized and chrome peeling. It's pretty neat but I paid far too much for it sighted without close examination.
👍
I’m really dissapointed you didn’t really go over the proper fluid level for the clutch, is the bike standing upright or on the stand, are the bars straight forward or turned all the way to the right, how much is too much or not enough. I can’t find this info for this bike.
Tôi câ😂 mua chế hòa khí đó bạn có không
hello, I don’t know if you are still on the site, but I have a question for you. Should a rear light be powered with the stop with a diode as for the turn signals? Because when I plug the wires the fire and the stop light lights at the same time. Thank you in advance for your response if you are present on the site. Amicably. Pascal.
I have an intruder 1400 1992, how do you regulate valves in that one? Or what are the entry and exit indications? Thank you! Tengo una intruder 1400 1992, como se regulan válvulas en esa? O cuáles son las indicaciones de entrada y salida? Gracias!
Do you have a video on syncing the carbs?
Year past and nothing, bring some content bud I love your videos 🤘🔥🤘
This guy talks more than he works!”
You're welcome my friend.
Ну это же не сток. Это колхоз.
hello Boss
I really wanted to see how rockers are implemented as well as decompression mechanism. And you didn't bother to show it. Does it have valve stem seals? Did you replace them?
You use compressor from the wrong side of cylinder. Where the flat surface it goes
Why use ring compressor? Bottom of the sleeve has special chamfer. The only purpose of it is to help you get rings in
Hi have you got a link for stage 3 kit ?please
Got a new holder for my double high beam and had no idea how to remove the old one. But removing the headlight should not be a problem now. Thanks for uploading !
how can i get the vealv sir
Super helpful thx a lot,
Hello! I followed your tutorial but the problem that happened to me is that when I'm idling, I can't pass changes, the box is like hard or stuck, they are passing but stopped the changes do not enter. I put all the separator discs looking at the same side, I applied the torque it requires. I made sure that the screws are not changed sides and that problem persists :/ I have new discs, separators and springs
My air box had a 8mm bolt bottom side behind radiator......good times!🎉
Hey there Hagar the Viking. Good to see you are still around and chugging about on that Japanese HD. Sounds enormous & quire a bit quicker than any euro american ride. Deceptively fast! You're the only man to have done such tutorial or reveal of the VS1400 on the net. I've seen the forum and registered but am waiting fr admin approval before I can interact with the board. There are som other fellows videoing onto youtube with a lot less to reveal or .. well it's different. And not so broad reaching on the meanest jappa made. Sport bikes notwithstanding. But I cant be trusted at 200 mph myself anyway. Bring us more content? I'm subscribed now and there are other interested people watching your work. Later!
Dude the way you just nonchalantly walked the bike! omg! I just bought this same bike a few hours ago and moving it off the trailer and into my garage was crazy hard. This bike hasn't ran in 5 years. Hopefully its just seized brakes. I literally bursted eye vessels from pushing so hard.
Hey brother the manual says 594ml per fork tube for the oil. Should I still go with 354ml in each tube
What model motorcycle do you own? The VS1400 requires 354mm per fork as per the official suzuki vs1400 workshop manual.
Thanks brother, and yes 2006 vs1400.
Where can i buy a after market horn like that please reply
What video must i watch to see how you mounted the flat foot rests
Where can i buy after market pats for my suzuli intruder
This is perfect.. couldnt find your channel and this vs1400 list at a better time.. im getting one next week thats been in a small crash, so it needs a rebuild..
Is there any reason to not leave the cylinder covers (min 4:14) removed and ride without them? Should be possible, right?
There's a lot of guys not paying attention to the video who write comments with a desire to have thier bike fixed. Otherwise they may be just smartasses attempting to troll your work without ever owning a 1400?
Hi there, I really enjoy your videos. I’m considering buying a 1992 Suzuki vs 800 Intruder. Similar to your vs1400?? In your opinion, are these bikes reliable or a nightmare (or somewhere in between)?? I’d really appreciate your imput, I am in the UK also. Many thanks Marcus
Ok! My turn to do this! thank you for this video. set up time starts now!
Might be a stupid question, but I can do that WITHOUT heaving the engine out of my bike, right?
Thanks to your videos I'm doing maintenance on my vs 1400 forks first time in my Life (for me, not for the bike). Only a question: I choose SAE 20 fork oil, the quantity remain the same 354 ml?
Thanks for video But i do one mistake ,, i relesed the lever back and get air,,,how can i fix the problem 😢? Now i want to start to run and put in the first gear and directly stopping the engine ,,,clouch dont work well ...intruder 1400cc from 2000
Thanks from Germany. It helps me so change the saddle.
Thank you for the imformation
Is there any videos on the shifting reassemble. Lower end
Great tutorial
