I have about 5 pairs of forks that I need to do. All different bikes, two are the upside down kind. Should be fun.

In the manual it says to tighten the front fork cap to 80-100 n-m on page 7-18 but on page 2-15 it says 45-55... anyone knows whats the correct torque?

What is the torque spec once the forces are installed back into the triple trees?

Just did this today. I will admit it took me a bit to realize that the second bushing had to be seated flush into the lower tube under the washer before you could put the washer and seal in.

      Glad it helped

That looks well within the reach of the competent home hobbyist. Or even me.

Thanks to your videos I'm doing maintenance on my vs 1400 forks first time in my Life (for me, not for the bike).
Only a question: I choose SAE 20 fork oil, the quantity remain the same 354 ml?

Hey brother the manual says 594ml per fork tube for the oil. Should I still go with 354ml in each tube

    •  3 месяца назад +1

What model motorcycle do you own? The VS1400 requires 354mm per fork as per the official suzuki vs1400 workshop manual.
