This is really insightful! I saw this movie in high school and had the simplistic view that Gary was wronged. Then I saw it again a few years ago and thought to myself how Gary brought this all on himself by idolizing a girl for no other reason besides her attractiveness and his fantasy about her...and the stalking. Really good analysis, and young men and women need to understand NOT to chase anyone.

They'll definitely get it wrong. Supposedly, on the 4th re-write, to get back to Blade, just going to kill Vampires. That should have been first, not a female centric script about Blade's daughter which was the initial idea that was scrapped. Disney Marvel doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt after phase 4. It's sad too....Blade 2 is probably one of the best comic book movies ever made, I'd put it right up there with The Crow or Iron Man.

You can't even get close to talk about The Color Purple if you haven't read the book. In the book, there are plenty of examples of good black men that dying for doing the right thing or even just Mister redeeming himself after many years of working on being a better person. Dude come on I agree with you cuz they didn't stick to the story line but it I'm sorry for fantasy series and they said there was going to be something good to replace Lord of the rings but I haven't seen it yet and I doubt it's going to happen and I wish I remembered or saved a picture of where I read it The fact of the matter is though there's hardly any good shows on and I'll take what I can get no one's open up a new book and made it wasn't thinking of the fantasy series and now I see are drama in murder mystery shows which I'm getting sick and tired of You want to show flash books recommend I'll glad that you try them out but I would like them to actually be made into a TV show I can give you about all three or five bucks that you've seen on audible that would make great movies or series

I was intrigued when they announced it back in 2019.... but we're 5 years in now and all the things that have come out about what they were trying to do, who has joined and left and God knows what else makes me think that it's either going to go nowhere or we might get a very lackluster blade film... I even wonder now if Snipes himself will reprise his Blade role for the "Multiverse Saga". Disney seems to have a very awkward track record with Black male lead properties and key characters.

A lot of the young children think they're experts after reading a few lines online. Black Panther was one of the most intelligent characters in the comics. He was easily on Stark, Richards and Luthor level. They dumbed him down and gave him a smart sister.

The movie has been rewritten several times and is set to take place in the 1930s(?) where colored people weren't treated the best. The star Mr. Ali has threatened to walk away several times. If these aren't signs the movie is in trouble then I don't know what is. I want it to be good, but disney has had a dismal track record with little or no improvment.

I think they should have had Eric King (detective Doakes from Dexter) play Blade. He has the right look and attitude for it.

Slimm they already dropped 3 scripts that have blade as a side character and the story revolving around Blades Daughter...the current actor has threatened to walk if the script wasn't fixed every time.

Weasley Snipes will always be Blade. And the first Blade movie was the best superhero movie ever made.
