@@dreadfordchronicles Sokolov’s Last Test The wailing of the freezing winds blowing through the boreal forest was one of the only noises that was present in this land, alongside the rustling of snow-covered pine tree branches. There should have been the howling of wolves or the sounds of nocturnal animals in this lonesome wintery forest, but it seemed that this area was so isolated that even the animals were distant from it. It was too dark and too quiet, and Theodore Sokolov abhorred it with all his being. Sokolov usually loved the winter. He wasn’t sure why, but maybe it had something to do with his ancestry. He was the son of Russian-Jewish refugees, whose families emigrated to America in the early 1990s. Wanting to take a stand against criminality and corruption, he became a police officer, but one day, he encountered a vampire and slayed it by burning it in the sun’s holy light. He should have perished as prey. He should have died that night, but some divine force had blessed him with good luck. After this came a speedy series of distressing events that led him to join the BEO, the Federal Bureau of Extramundane Occurrences. He did so because he was marked for death by the Court, an elusive faction of vampires, and he wanted to live, but he was training to be a hunter in the BEO’s ranks, because people have to stand against these monsters in the night. Sokolov’s luck still perseveres, just like his life, because as one of many men in a mass recruitment drive, he was being trained by a renowned soldier known as Ash Ryder. Ryder’s training was grueling and relentless, but Sokolov found that he became far stronger and more skilled than he could ever think possible. Now, his training was concluding, and the last trial he must go through was to walk to a cabin in the Alaskan wilderness and hunt down a vampire. For this last trail, he was given only a compass, a flashlight, a walkie-talkie, some directions, and a combat knife of alloy steel. Sokolov navigated through this dark cold forest until he found the cabin he was looking for, a decrepit abandoned building that stood in the center of a snowy field. It looked more ghastly than the haunted house of any horror movie, but what was worse was that it was dark inside. He could see it in the windows. He approached the building and opened its front door. The darkness was worse than he thought. Was it black magic or the beam of his flashlight, a low-budget contraption of trash that could barely illuminate the cabin’s ramshackle interior? The windows were all boarded up. The interior was absent of furniture and décor, except for pieces of broken wood, and a battery-powered cooler that stood on the counter of what was once a kitchen. That fiend should be around here somewhere. Then the front door creaked and slammed shut behind Sokolov. Was that the vampire or the strength of the wind? Whatever it was, he must keep his ears open for the slightest hint of movement. He silently unsheathed his knife, in preparation for the coming fight. These vampires, these Nosferatu as they call themselves, they are devious entities who will do anything to survive, including placing others in the most uneven of situations, but what was this vampire doing? He seems to be darkening up the room further with the closing of the door, but what was he doing? Is he toying with his prey like a demonic predator? Sokolov explored the cabin, approaching another door. He opened it and entered another room. This other room was emptier than a prison cell, as if the original inhabitants of this place had moved out with all their belongings. There was nothing in this room, so he departed from it. The creature might be outside, so Sokolov was about to approach the front door, but then it happened, the presence finally revealed itself. It fell from the ceiling and landed next to Sokolov, but before he could react, it grabbed his flashlight and crushed it with its hand. Then, he found himself unleashing and countering blows in the dark against a being he cannot see, only sense. It was like he was fighting blind or against someone who was invisible, but Ryder trained him for such fights, and he was relying on his intuition to brawl. His opponent was a lumbering and burly brute with glowing red eyes, about 6 foot 5 inches tall and he fought without a weapon, but his agility was unparalleled. Vampires will exploit any advantage. Ryder told him that that most vampires began as people with no combat training, so they rely on their powers to win fights, but this Nosferatu was countering his attacks with a myriad the martial arts like Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and Jiu-Jitsu. “Was he a marine?” Sokolov thought, but there was no time to ponder it. Sokolov felt a hard kick hit him in the stomach which launched him onto the wooden floor. He immediately got himself to stand in a second. This intense fight lasted for a dozen minutes, and it put much of his martial arts skills to the test, but it began to end when the vampire disarmed him of his knife. Then the vampire grabbed him, and bared his fangs as he said, “you can do better than that.” The blue moonlight that was shining through exposed parts of the boarded-up window made visibility easier and showed that the vampire had a knife sheaved in its belt. Sokolov took the knife off the sheath and mustered the full power of his strength to jab it into the vampire’s heart. The creature gasped, let go of its prey, and collapsed into wooden floor. Sokolov’s last test was over, but there was one more thing he must do. After catching his breath, Sokolov turned to the cooler. He was instructed not to open it until he defeated the vampire, but that fight was over now. He approached it and opened it, and it revealed a flashlight, a canteen, and a note that said, “remove the knife or stake from his heart and feed him the canteen.” Sokolov took the flashlight out and shined it upon the unconscious vampire. “Major Ryder?” Sokolov said, stunned by what he was seeing in front of him. It was his mentor, Alex Ryder, the best soldier in the BEO’s militias. He was a Caucasian man with short blonde hair, and he was lying like a corpse, bleeding and breathless. This bewildered Sokolov, but the more he thought about this, the more this made sense. The nighttime training. His in-depth insight. The fact that he never eats with his men. He was a monster but maybe he’s a good monster. Sokolov removed the knife from his mentor’s heart, and the Major arose gasping. Sokolov gave Ryder the canteen, who drank from it like a dehydrated beast. After that, Ryder laughed and said, “You beat me... Well done, rookie.” “You’re one of them,” Sokolov said. Ryder stood up as he responded, “I am, and I am not.” “What do you mean you’re not?” “There are a few good vamps out there, fighting to keep their humanity in the dark. I know some who only drink from blood bags, and I’ve heard rumors of a vampire house trying to make cow’s blood as sustaining as a man’s, but these are the exceptions, not the norm. “The norm is evil, right?” Sokolov said. “Descension… Vampirism does things to people mentally. With predation, they have to tone it down with the empathy, because they have to drink the blood of other people to survive. Then there’s the immortality. A dream comes true at first, but then the vamps start to see their old life erode into the dirt. Their loved one’s age and die, while the world around them changes into something unrecognizable. Makes them sink into the darkness. Then, after centuries of all this shit, life becomes cheap, and equality a joke. Then they pursue power because it’s the only thing that’s left. This is how elders are made. They’re vamps who saw so many people die, so they detach themselves from other people to stay strong, but that makes them less human, separates them further from God. They’ll sink deeper and deeper until they die forever, their souls cast to Hell... The Court has infected our country, sapped the power away from her people and concentrated it around them. They’ve turned good Americans against each other, so that no one will see them stealing our freedoms. They drink the blood the youths, thinking that no one’s noticed their presence, but we do.” Then the vampire placed his hand on Sokolov’s shoulder. “Welcome to the team, rookie.”

We thought about explaining this in this episode but we decided against to focus on the story, but the Volkos have a ritual they can do that when they hunt in a ritualistic manner, animal blood works as human blood. It is a ritual, it takes time and it does not substitute human blood. Some people try to mass produced but with out much success.

Many hunters will have different backgrounds, some might be priests, others might have been soldiers in Africa. There are a lot of different walks of life among the hunters and definitely they will use everything to end this scourge. I'll keep it in mind for our characters. @@wolfsbanealphas617 Ea was one of Tiamat and Apsu's kids. And he did slay his father, starting this whole thing. Ea also had siblings that will be featured in the story. Marduk is the one that slayed Tiamat as in the Enuma Eilish. A lot of this will be further explored in our wizard setting that is already set up with many characters and they have their own mythology surrounding these same events. To make it clear: Ea, the son, slayed his father, Apsu. Tiamat wanted to revenge and created 10 monsters and got what she wanted. After that, Marduk arrived and slayed Tiamat and put an end to the Nosferatu reign. I hope this helps getting things more clear. Feel free to ask more. Wizards don't live forever but some can live for long periods of time and some times reach undead state, like a Lich.

You need to hear the side of the Low Tower. We will do a video on it, but they have a different spin in the whole "How we became vampires?"

@@dreadfordchronicles How about a creepypasta about shadow people. They are Totally black as if it were a black hole. So black that light itself doesn't have the ability to escape. They're black silhouettes that appear next to your bed while you're sleeping but you only see them when opening your eyes. They appear for a few seconds causing you to freeze in awe as you do a double take as they disappear when you blink or look away. Poof, they're gone and you're left wondering if they were even there. It's happened to me but there was two of them. One the size of a six foot man, and the other one was about the size of a 15 year old girl. They stood close together as if the male one was showing me to the female one. They had no eyes, they were totally silent, and stood completely still. When this happened to me I was actually not asleep. I actually never fell asleep, but I only opened my eyes when something rapidly tapped 5 or 6 times at the foot of my bed. This also happened at about 2:30 am to 3:00 am. My description doesn't even come close to describing this experience nor give you a visual that would really represent how this experience looked. I was in true awe as if I was exploring the woods only to notice a cougar or bear standing10 feet from you, causing you to freeze in place as it was a total surprise and staying still so no sudden moves would cause the animal to come after you.

I seriously dislike critisizing anyone who puts out decent content, i realize how hard these people work and that they wish for us to enjoy ourselves. That said, i believe constructive critiscism can help them do this. And i agree, the monotone voice is not doing this story any good. Please, a little emotion! Ty, and keep doing what you do, and trying to make it better for all of us!

We came up with the idea because Count Orlok was inspired by Dracula and Vlad Teps was betrayed by his brothers in real life. So we stitched it together to give some drama hehehe

Yes, we do research a lot of hermeticism specially to fill in Ars Sanguinis, which is a hermetic type of magic. We are doing the revamp of our "No one Lieks a hero" video and we expanded it a lot by introducing this magical system and briefly talking about other types of vampiric magic. I think you are gonna like it. Hermes, will be featured in our Wizard setting along with other notable legends like Thoth, the Emerald Tablets and more. As we saw in House Drakul Video we are trying not only to tie in all supernaturals but also creating their own cultural interpretations of the same events. So be sure, Marduk, Apsu and Ea will return. I'm gonna take a look further though, as per your sugestion. We also research a lot on Solomon's mythology, which includes Goetia in the Lesser Key of Solomon and some gnostic Christianity to get material on the Demiurge. There's is a very good channel called Esoterica with lot's of cool material for research on this. Yep, I know the council of which you speak of in the bible XD Thanks for the support, again!

Well, these are legends and Nosferatu Mythology. Some believe, other's consider it tall tales, but you are right the truth usually is somewhere in the middle. All these stories have three sides: The Tower's, The Court's and the truth. About the wizards: You will get to know more and the wizard's side soon, but I can tell you that wizards approach these myths in the same way. Some believe other's don't and that the more recent the tale the more trustworthy it is, but remember: every story is embellished one way or another and don't forget that vampires are great liars, hehehehe
