Really liked this episode and the build up of the intrigue as well as a more personal side of things. I've been shipping Daniel and Eloise for a while now and I'm glad to see that starting to happen. Really liked Caroline as well! I really don't like Dupont's guts though, and most of his allies. Curious as to what his fate will be

I was so taken a back with what happened to your comment a forgot to answer. Hahahaha This episode is like a sling shot... right? We are taking things back to solve interpersonal relationships and summarize everything that happened to shoot in the next episodes. Glad you liked. I think Eloise will help Daniel to be more grounded. Strix are too nihilists that's why they devolve into vices a lot. Caroline is doing the best she can. You can see she's tired of the Court. Hahaha and Dupont that's a conniving sob. Hahahaha

Pretty interesting episode specialy Dany's pessimistic/realistic views, I was going to mention in the last video how cool is this new intro tune. Hope it becomes the regular from now on.
Now on a lighter note Caroline can be a great chief of police....just not a very good sales person 0 out of 4 bought for me. The alternatives of, the tower, werewolves, mages and fey looked a lot better place to be at right now :P (jk jk)

I love the new lore updates, especially about the info regarding the blood. It seems that the Midnight Fiends will fight Leon and his friends in the next episode.
On Caroline Graves, judging from her sternness, her outfit, and the way she speaks, she sounds like she might have come from the U.S. army when she was alive. She reminds me of Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat.
From the moment Eloise was first introduced, I somehow knew that she and Daniel would develop a love affair, an affair that became official in the woods. Speaking of the Woods, I have been doing a lot of research on the Tlingit people recently, are you familiar with them?

Caroline was not in the military but she has been a soldier for more than a hundred years now. She is the chief of police in Dreadford. She is very diligent and committed to her job. Sonya Blade is awesome, it is a great compliment.
I have never heard of the Tlingit to be honest.
@@dreadfordchronicles The history, culture, and religion of the Tlingit people of Alaska are very interesting. I dare say they are something worth researching. They see the world as a system of dichotomies, with the most obvious being the fascinating “light water” and “dark forest” duality. I think the raven is a sacred animal to them. They have a creation story where Raven, a trickster god, steals the moon, the stars, the sun, and other stuff from “the Old Man,” and uses them to create the world. I think they share similarities to the Navajo, as the Tlingits also believe in spirituality, balance with nature, respecting spirits and all sorts of stuff, though I do not know the Navajo. The Tlingits believe in reincarnation and also fear the Kushtaka, who are said to be “soul stealers.” They’re the guys who know the Kushtaka, what they do, and what their weaknesses are. Do you know the weaknesses of the Kushtaka?
This is awesome. I did like the Raven story a lot. There is something similar in viking mythology for sure because we are doing something like that in the lore. I just don't remember the specifics from the top of my head. I have to check my research.
You've mentioned the Kushtaka. I did look into it but i don't remember their weakness right now. This is cool mythology I'll be sure to check further into this.
@@dreadfordchronicles The sources I’ve seen say that the Kushtaka can be warded off with urine, dogs, copper, and in some stories, fire. Urine might be a falsehood that originally formed from a grain of truth, but distorted into its current form as it was orally passed down throughout the centuries. A few or some Kushtakas might get disgusted with urine to where it incentivizes them to leave, but others can tolerate it. I’ll leave the dogs part to you. From what I know of the Garou from Werewolf: The Apocalypse, werewolves hate fire, so with that in mind, I could imagine that Kushtakas hate fire for similar reasons.
Then there is copper. It seems that just how silver is the weakness of the werewolves, copper is the weakness of the Kushtakas. I do not know why, but I think this has something to do with copper being a metal that wards off evil spirits, or maybe it’s something else. From what I was able to research, just as gold is the metal of the sun, and silver is the metal of the moon, copper is the metal of the planet, Venus. If the Dreadford Universe has its werewolves weak to silver due to a pact with the moon, then the Kushtakas might be weak to copper due to a pact with Venus. The Kushtakas probably made that pact to empower their magic and social skills. That could explain how they got their abilities to manifest as loved ones and take the forms of women or children in destress.

Thank you so much. These stories are great. Daniel the ethical vampire, I don't think he understands that the vampire world is a lot like the real world. Someone always dies so others can live. The vampire world is just more medieval. Is it just me, but does that duchess looks like a nazi?
Thank you, my friend! We are so glad you liked it! You are right, Daniel has to come to terms with the fact that his has changed. About the Duchess, I see what you are saying. We had this idea in the beginning to do a neo noir style that was black, white and red. Eventually, we ended up using colors, even with grading and some of our concepts were still reflectingg the old style. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to make her clothe bluish.
