I’m about to start my truck lessons here in the UK so it’s always interesting to see how the job is around the world. Your job seems decent, really calm, chilled compared to some of the others out there

Hahahahaha Piggly Wiggly, what a name. Thanks for sharing this video, its very interesting. Here in the UK they dont deliver products like drinks separately for the big stores, for the smaller stores they'll do it but the big supermarkets deliver all of their products on the same trailer. So youll get like drinks, cereal, toilet paper (non reefer/freezer) all on one trailer, then another driver comes with reefer/freezer with cold products etc. What would normally happen is that someone like yourself who delivers bulk drinks would just deliver your entire load to a distribution centre, then the distribution centre would load what a store needs into a trailer for another driver to take like i mentioned above. Also, from watching another Pepsi driver video, you guys get paid so much more than drivers in the UK, you get $30 an hour, right? Here you get maybe $19-$25 depending where you work.

Do pepsi have otr drivers or just local & how was u able to get the position where u just drop & not stock shelves

Are you assigned a tractor to use every day or use a different one everyday?

Can you make a video step by step until loading, then loading to delivery and detail of the app?

When you start off in the morning are you having to take pallet jacks and skid steers from other trucks? I’ve seen a lot of other videos of workers having to do that

How is the pay during training and learning?

I drive OTR but been thinking of switching something local for a change. Is it worth it all the lifting and stocking up local stores. How much more a less does a local pepsi delivery driver make annually?

I worked for Pepsi and Coke as a sidebay truck and pallet truck. Worst job ever on the sidebay truck, especially when they would load me down with 700 cases at 13 different stores. We were only supposed to carry around 500-550 and about 10 stores due to having to stock the coolers and machines. The sales people would always over stock the stores and constantly having to take cases back out of date. The last straw was when they started making drivers unload the returns when they had full time warehouse employees.

Do you get paid for a full day even if you finish early?

Do you ever check your load before you leave? You probably shouldn't have to but I feel like the driver is responsible for their load.

I'm actually starting a job with Pepsi tomorrow as an on premise-merchandiser-non CDL. I'll be making deliveries locally in a box truck. Super pumped about it.
