The infrastructure in the Philippines sucks but the people and be able to communicate better outperforms everything. Just stay fit and healthy and you will be fine. Food- there’s a lot of western style restaurants in big cities & still affordable compared to America. I had steak at Texas Roadhouse at the Fili hotel in Cebu City, the Conrad in Manila and in Makati in a span of one week. I think I will try Mexican food next. There’s a lot of Japanese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese restaurants as well as Italian and French Restaurants in metro Manila.
