Gino’s Garage-1998 Newell Battery Merge Switch Modification
Working on our new to us 1998 Newell 2000. Hoping to fix what I think may be a design flaw with the battery merge solenoid. Lets hope it works.

Gino’s Garage-1998 Newell- Trying to diagnose and repair pocket door air cylinder.

Pulling the air cylinder out for a air pocket door in a 1998 Newell 2000. Did not end up really repairing this, there is still more work to be done. Apparently Newell typically just replaces this whole device when they start to act up. I may end up going to that route. Here is a replacement for the Sharp Carousel convection microwave R-1850 model. Working on a beautiful 1988 Bluebird Wanderlodge WB. This bus is having intermittent DDEC issues, including the check engine light. Just finished replacing the control board in our 1998 Newell 2000 basement air. These are package style units made by SCS. They have dual compressors in them. I am upgrading the controls to use a standard house thermostat with Wi-Fi capability.

Finalizing project BillyRB, taking the bus for a couple test drives to adjust the jake brake buffer switch to allow proper engagement. Also show calibration of a VDO speedometer. Owner came and picked it up and is on his way on some trips.

Using a product called Wipe New to try to clean up the anodized rub rails on my 1984 Bluebird Wanderlodge. It worked out quite well. You can get this Wipe New from various locations locally or it can be ordered online as well. Working on a 1985 Wanderlodge PT40. We have a full list of work to complete on this project so look forward to multiple episodes. This episode we address the following issues: Replace fuel lines at engine. Remove engine air compressor coolant hoses. Fix air leak on cruise control air solenoids by replacing o-rings.
