U just explained that the way RUclips works is wrong. It is not about just video/content cash and move on. This is trash content. Making a video about history, politics, philosophy or even opinions or about real informative topic or about analyzing a subject ect... especially without showing a face, organically working doing it yourself fully or with a assistant has a hard time working. To give this point home even informative cool channels especially in history stuff that doing well are channels that been doing it for close to a decade and just reached around a 1M sub. So even back then it was bad.

Was not expecting to see myself in this because I still ain’t got a clue what I should do at times 💀 I was always taught if the content is good enough then it will eventually get to where it needs to be if you put in the time and effort but always make sure you enjoy doing it first and foremost

Even after growing an audience and learning so much about how to make videos do better than others I still think RUclips requires luck to some degree. However it's 100% still more skill than luck but if you make good content you only ever have to get lucky once because the people who like your content will stay to see more.

I had to lol at calling advertising (the $50 Miskif donation) "cheating". if you're just waiting for people to randomly stumble upon what you provide the only way to be successful is by getting lucky. Advertising takes luck out of the equation and makes it skill driven. If anything the $50 donation is brilliant because of how cheap it is, normally getting a shoutout on major channel costs like 100x that.
