Can I get a change of venue and try in a different county or does it have to be the county of conviction?
@@seantomak2455 either the county of conviction or the county where you currently live.
@@seantomak2455 I went in the county where I live not the one I was convicted in
Bro I went last year and filed and represented myself it went well I thought but was ultimately told I I met all the stipulations and that the court was impressed with my display since being released and I was still told to wait two more years and it will restore in Columbus Ohio
@@seantomak2455 That’s crazy that they pulled that on you. I was off parole for two months and got mines through could be the politics of the county your in
@@Rightsrestored556 I’ve been home since 17 favorable release releases from everything no type of problems completed a four-year apprenticeship for a union all kinds of stuff and he basically told me that you’re the perfect candidate, but it hasn’t been long enough
I wonder if I should go ahead and file a game at the end of the year instead of waiting until 26 like they said cause I don’t wanna make anybody mad and have them deny me for that reason
@@seantomak2455 if you file before 26 they could deny you with prejudice. You may have a judge who is anti 2A. I’d look to see if the judges term might be up before 26. If you want to go before 26 I’d see about getting a different judge. They shouldn’t have denied you.
@@Rightsrestored556you helped me in my case without even knowing it so thanks bro I love what your doing. we need more like you and I hope to be up and running soon as well again THANKS bro you help me more than you’ll ever know
Shall not be infringed! There are no stipulations!
The way I see it is, if it was a non violent crime then that felony should fall away. Robbers, murders, shooting felons shouldn’t get guns. I buddy of mine got a felony for having his guns in the back seat with a coat over them after the gun range. One of the safest guys with a gun I know, just made a bad decision.
I would love to speak with you one-on-one if it's possible
How do I reach out to you sir
Can you message me on IG? rights_restored
The problem in America is Americans are using nothing but second amendment, second amendment, second amendment when they should be using The supremacy clause, article 4 section 2 paragraph 1, second amendment shall not be Infringed clause,9th amendment enumeration clause,10th amendment nor prohibited by it to the states clause,14th amendment section 1 no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the united states clause in their cases against the courts to destroy all illegal unconstitutional gun laws in the united states of America. They are not expanding anything they are enforcing the legal law as it is written. All gun laws in the united states of America are unconstitutional therefore illegal and void not legally binding enforceable laws.
I went through the process and restored my rights. My question is how long afterwards were you able to pass the nics when purchasing a firearm? What was the process your first time? My lawyer notified the fbi and atf to update their database but dont know how long to wait or what to expect.
@@teamhxc3461 the judge told me to wait 3 months. After I waited 3 months I didn’t have any problems. I took a copy of my court papers to the gun store and left a copy in case the atf ever pulled my file which they did at one store. I leave a copy with every FFL
What if sexoffender 1 count 32 yrs without another offense can I get my gun rights back
Thank you my boyfriend is in the Feds just got sentenced 7 years and he’s filing a motion to get it dismissed it’s going to the 6 th circuit now wish us luck
The threat of losing your rights is supposed to be a deterrent. Victims NEVER get a second chance to not be victims. Why should the criminal get a second chance? They only exception should be if the victim is both able and willing to forgive them.
Nowhere in the constitution of the united states of America supreme law of the land does it give the government authority or jurisdiction to take away any American citizens constitutionally protected rights, liberties, privileges, immunities whatsoever period.
@@dragonf1092 while that may be true, people give up their rights every day. Every single person that joins the military surrenders their 1st Amendment rights. If they live on base they also surrender their 2nd and 4th Amendment rights as well. I know you, or someone else is going to use the "you volunteered" argument, which is true...but, the same point applies to criminals. Nobody is forced to be a criminal.
Im a legal to own firearms and owned many over the years since I was old enough to buy them in California I'm 59 about five years ago out the blue i told my self what do i need them for sold them all at very low price they sold the same day its been five years and i feel just fine with out them
Congratulations on the new house. You worked hard for that and you deserve it. I was trying to figure out if you were saying people can come to Ohio to get their rights restored? Is that you have to be a Ohio resident even if you have another state conviction, can you get your rice restored?
good video man, keep em coming
Congratulations on getting your home... you are an inspiration..🙏
No such thing as a convicted felon unless they have not paid their due, jail time fines probation exit.. they are no longer convicted felons so let's stop being stupid...
Going through the process now in Pa and it’s a long process but I think it’ll be worth it in the long run
I 100% agree with you, it's very much wort it.
Red states care more about guns than the people who live there, it's no wonder we have so many mass shootings in this country!!!!
Red states like Ohio allow teachers to carry in schools in order to protect the students. It's well known that mass shooters tend to attack soft targets like gun free zones. If blue states cared they'd get rid of gun free zones. Ultimately this country is experiencing a mental health crisis. Our society is starting to reward lunatics instead of addressing the problems.
What about the state of Wisconsin???
A bro I appreciate the hell out of what you do. I'm in Ohio and I have a felony and I'm gonna try to have my rights restored soon so all of the info helps bro thank you. And congrats on the new house.
@@holymolydonutshop3449 I appreciate it and I won’t stop making content, I enjoy doing it and congrats in advance on your rights restoration. I hope all continues to go well with you.
Process is a little harder. In virginia I was a little Discouraged at first . But, I held strong
My main reason for wanting my rights restored is for employment. I know that working as a security officer isnt the best job, but its a job that i know i could do for a long time. the armed security is the highest paying position for security so, i see this as a must have.

Correction: NY does not make it easy to obtain a pistol permit.
I got intouble 25 years ago. Did some time and got out. Have NOT BEEN INTROUBLE since. Nothing. I've had a job started a family own 2 businesses and yet I can never get my 2a rights back. Never did anything with a weapon or domestic violence. It was a fight and mutual at that. But again not able to get my rights back. Unreal.
@@jf8564 If you are in NY I can refer you to a good law firm.
Under bruen that is not the case , but unfortunately you will have file an as applied challenge against the state that charged you .
It depends on the state that you are in what route you would take to fight this. I've made several videos about people who have taken their arguments to federal court and won. One was similar to your case.
The Constitution does not delegate the Feds any authority over state gun rights or any other rights as far as that goes.
Doesn't give states authority either.
Gun rights Are national not state or federal, the constitution of the united states of America is national not state or federal law. All states and the federal government must comply with the text of the constitution of the united states of America supreme law of the land period.
I believe what HB51 is attempting to do is make it more defined where the authority lies. The are putting it in writing that the feds have no authority over state laws.
Bro good looking for the info. Use to live in columbus. Convicted in NYS. Still fighting to try and have my 2a rights. Have been given all rights back but 2a.
NYS is a nightmare for anyone who is trying to get their rights back. I'm still fighting from 1990 and they won't budge.i have been living in Ohio since 05 and carry daily.
Just waiting now to find out what's happening with ny. I kind of have them in a corner just waiting for my day to go to court.
Hopefully this becoming law will make things easier for you. I'll keep you updated
Thought the Constitution states "Shall not be infringed"...?? Anyone who is a felon who successfully completed their sentence shouldn't have to worry about not being able to defend themselves
Absolutely true
I 100% agree
The title of felony is unconstitutional. Once you serve your time you deserve to have all rights restored. If they don't trust the people they're releasing to have all their rights then they need to remain in prison.
Check out Louisiana and there hoops to go through even for non violent crimes ...
I'm in Ohio. N only for f5 how can I get my gun rights back?
Apply for an expungement. Go to the county court house and pay the fees and get a court date. Hopefully you get Judge Miller. That's who I had and I represented myself and was granted. The prosecutor didn't even object to anything I said. Good luck
Check out the very first video it should have all the instructions you need let me know if you still have questions after you watch it
What’s your thoughts on people like me down South in Alabama caught two felons back in 06&07 getting rights restored
We can't be any worse than the "gang bangers and migrants" right??? 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Mine was in 08 and technically a nonviolent felony. I'm filling out the paperwork as we type LoLz
I believe you should have your rights back.
If you do your time and restitution and stay law abiding then your supposed to
What were you charged with?
United States VS Rahimi states that unless its a Hanious or Violent crime then we can only be temporarily disarmed... The States are in the process of following suit... Fed laws supercedes state laws so i wouldn't be too excited until the current FED cases make it through the appeals process since SCOTUS kicked it back down...
Thanks for this bit of info
Thank you for the info 🙂
What about in Texas
Texas 5 years after your felony you and have rights restored to own a firearm in your home.
Im facing this same problem right now in New York in order to have my rights restored i have to be approved by DOC for a certificate of relief from disabilities & certificate of good conduct but i have to live up to a 7 year statue of limitation
Im in N.Y too it's been 13 years for of good conduct! I'ma try it
