Congrats bro. I’m in New York. I called a lawyer and I was told I couldn’t get it. I had an assault charge in 2007 and been clean ever since I came home in 2010. Any advice is appreciated.

You know I didn't get my gun rights taken away but only that I can't buy a new gun it don't make no sense but I still can go hunting and own a gun and use a gun I was in Green Lake County and somebody call the cops because my wife was having a temper tantrum she was drinking a little too much and she wanted a beer she said she was going to smash the window out of the truck I was cooking a steak on the grill for us but she said she was going to go do it anyway so I went out by the truck to buy it metal object in her hand and she went to swing at the window and all I did was block it she stumbled backwards and tripped over a curb that we got in our driveway the cops came when I was outside by my grill what's a fork turn in my steak then I have two cops pointing guns at me to put down my weapon I believe it was my landlord that called me in they told me it was a passing police officer but I know it's a lie we have crabapple trees that were in full bloom hang down to 3 ft so I know nobody could see in that driveway or on our property very easy going by 60 MPH and see me push my wife I blocked her from hitting the truck and she stumbled backwards they didn't want to hear that so I know it was somebody did live by that turned in and actually I wasn't the one that was compatible it was my wife

I have always said that a felon that is too dangerous to trust with a gun is too dangerous to be released from prison, because he can get a gun anyway. Congratulations and good luck going forward.

You know, when a constitutional rights says it shouldn't be infringed upon. In any way, there shouldn't be any laws made fell on no phone. Regardless of what it is. I don't care if it's violent non-violent crime. It doesn't make any difference. Every human being has a right to own a gun and nobody should have the right to take that from them. It's not a privilege and everybody needs to stop putting restrictions on the second amendment. 0 restrictions.

If they shouldn't have taken our rights away. Then we shouldn't have to apply for it back. The way I see it, we have the right. Done.

It depends on what state you live in. In MA they aint having that at any level to the point the Sheriff Deputy reviews applicants and I want to say he denies aout 60 to 70% of gun license applications. On top of that MA has very strict gun laws.

Sir I've just got a pardon from SC without a lawyer for robbery and now trying to get my last pardon from TN for growing three or four weed plants, it's easy just be truthful on your application

At least one federal judge has ruled that the gun ban for convicts is unconstitutional and violates the 2nd amendment. We are getting there

I also got my rights back. I paid an attorney five grand though. But even a year after the court, hearing, I still got denied when I tried to purchase my first gun. I had to file an appeal and send the FBI the court order. It might also be were saying that the state prosecutor did not even argue against me. They agreed that my ride should be restored. At that point, you need to reach out to the FBI and § file for a voluntary appeals file. you’ll have to send in your fingerprints. You can go to a post office and get them taken. Point being the states often do not send the court orders to the federal government like they are supposed to. In reality, the biggest obstacle is incompetence and people in the government who don’t know the law. You have to be 100% proactive in this. But it’s totally worth it. You can’t put a price on your safety.

Go back to the original Intent and meaning of the term, per Daniel Webster. A felon was only someone currently in prison. Once released they were not a felon as stated by our Foundational Documents and Laws. Redefining the legal terms is a circumvention of law.
