No kidding! Such a bummer!

Thank you! I tried the Il Makiage foundation several years ago when it first came out and ended up returning it. I was more textured and oily then but found the color match was bad (basically didn’t have a light enough color for me) and it was a heavy somewhat thick formula that had a glow to it that really picked up texture bad on me. I haven’t found much of anything from them that I do like and feel like they are a bit scammy. If they were so good for the last 5 yrs or so I think they’d be available in store to buy and yet no one carries them. Another bad sign is that I see them show up as give away in my Ipsy Boxycharm boxes which is usually what happens before a brand goes out of business.

I also didn't know they are not in Sephora or something. I've got texture/large pores around my nose and fine lines I certainly don't want emphasized! I love your channel because what works for you is going to work for me as I am a natural redhead who highlights with blonde. Most of my red has turned a muddy auburn with grey. I'm a cool-neutral ivory complexion not quite as fair as you. I have a lot of problems with seemingly pink colors pulling orange on me.

It's so good, literally just used it yesterday and most of last week. It's so usable even for every day!

Ooo that’s tough…both have a tingle but the L’Oréal is spicier and a thinner more high end feeling formula whereas the elf is a bit thicker and less fluid. Honestly I love them both!

Oh dang, that's a lot in shipping! Do they have them available through Amazon in Europe? That's where I get the best deal on them but I do have a Prime acct. On the foundation I really didn't find this lightest shade to oxidize noticeably thankfully. I know what you're saying though. A lot of them do! And yes, seriously, nothing makes you feel like more of a 'minority' than never being able to find your shade because there aren't enough of 'you' to make business off of! 😆

yes, this is exactly what I've experienced too...if it is non whitening it is also non functioning as a dry shampoo and does not get rid of greasy hair at all but rather makes it worse.

It really is pretty darn good for drugstore! The mattes are so nice and soft/blendable sort of like a Mario matte. Thanks for the kind words too! 🥰

So, it's not a primer perse but I love the Sephora Big By Definition mascara as my every day natural looking mascara that isn't too heavy or crunchy. I think it really is my fave mascara. The new Haus Labs one is a little darker in color but it is supposed to be a conditioning mascara that is good for your lashes and it definitely applies really natural and soft if you do just one layer. It is one of the softest least crunchy mascaras I've tried.

@ Oh Ty,, Sometimes All I need is just to emphasize the adornment of having lashes, rather then heavy lifting of unnecessary build of products. I swear by nightly ,utilizing a serum to condition and grow my lashes ( castor oil or enhancing serums like Grande) . F we take care of what we are blessed with ,( skin, hair, nails ect. ), then the rest will just be a bonus ! 💋

Very true! That's why I like showing the finish of every one on my skin especially since it can be confusing when you're shopping and thinking you're getting something sheer and maybe not so much!

That's really interesting! I almost never get darker tones because we don't get enough sun up here in Seattle to look really any different in the summer 😆 but I wouldn't be surprised at all if some of the pigments needed for the different tones actually change how they perform a tiny bit on the skin.

'chemistry barbie' 😆 for real though. Yeah I'm always a little flabbergasted when high end actually has a smaller shade range...uhhh wut? Even the Armani luminous silk's lightest shade is too dark for me so I use it as a mixer for other foundations that are too light and maybe too thick. How did the melt powder work out btw? I'm curious. You would not believe the powder collection I have (probably well into the hundreds of diff ones) but I don't have that one yet so I'm curious!

@ finally getting to go out this weekend so I will be trying it then and will for sure let you know. Gonna do the givenchy on the better eye and I’ll try the melt in my more problem eye on the underneath side and will give you a full report!!

So it is, as far as I can tell, their same Superstay Matte 30HR foundation but they added 'lumi' to it so something to make it have a bit of a luminance rather than just flat matte. The other one has a white cap and this new one is lavender. I don't have the other 30HR one but I did have the one just previous to that which was their matte 24HR one which was nice, better color match, but also was a bit too drying/flat matte on the skin. This new one doesn't suck the life outta your skin or make texture look worse as far as I can tell.
