Alan Watts is great. I don't agree with everything he says but a lot of it is some really good stuff and makes you really think. I have no problem with someone following a literary source for information but if you're blindly following and dogmatically accepting without looking further than what is on the surface and blocking out everything else without using logic or reason (like the LDS church members do), then I think that is when it becomes the biggest trap and you will have a very hard time escaping. You seem like a progressive Christian and I think that's awesome. Keep up the good work brother.

Cool video. Was a commercial for a book. Her frustration is resonated by many when they try to understand the Bible as literal, an "as is" instruction manual . It will never work , especially when you look for exactly how a miracle was performed and need an exact scientific explanation for it . Faith is exactly that Faith. Sadly Kristy has taken this to another level of confusion , calling herself Kristian and her followers ( of her Chanel ) Kristians. The Bible clearly states that it is better to have a mill stone tied to your neck and thrown into the sea than to confuse the innocent. How many poor people listening to her rants just give up ?

I can understand Burke's problems with the passages, but for some reason she felt the need to create a RUclips channel and go on a crusade against the Bible. I don't know exactly what's driving her, but putting down Christianity is an easy way to get lots of followers and rack up views and likes on social media.

Curtis, my brother! I have a react request for you! The video is very interesting, it's called The Demonic Parasite Presentation. It's has a lot of views and it's basically three men discussing the possibility that parasites that exist in the physical world (like worms, flies, microscopic parasites etc.) are actually demons, or governed by demonic spirits. They discuss science behind this theory in combo with ancient myths, lore and Bible evidence. I found the video to be extremely informative, interesting and the theory resonated strongly with what I've learned from Swedenborg. I know the video is long, but please, please when you have the time, listen to it and I would love to hear your comments! Thank you, God bless you and the whole team! :) P.S. Curtis, how do you know that people in pre-bible times had an open connection with the heavens and thus didn't need a written bible? You don't. The same goes for every counter argument you've presented. You didn't debunk anything, all you did was repeating the unprovable musings used by defenders of the faith. The fallacy of "an appeal to authority" is often used by religious people trying to debunk criticism and logical deconstruction of religion. "god exists because the bible says so". 😏

Wow, that was the shortest reaction of a very small part of this debate. Why didn't you review the whole part about slavery? Me thinks you actually saw it and decided you wanted no part of that. If I recall Alex O'Connor did a beautiful job pointing out the horrors that are unjustifiable regarding slavery in the bible. Also, are you saying that God is NOT all powerful and is unable to change anything about his own creation here on earth?

What we have here is not a contradiction, but a battle between the 3 aspects of God's character. Just, righteous, and loving. Jeremiah 9:23-24 It's strange that she misses this because it's actually right next to Romans 9 in Romans chapters 7 & 8. So, the answers to a lot of her questions were just on the previous page. The law exists. The law is good. This is the just portion of God's character. However, the law is incomplete and does not satisfy all 3 aspects of God's character. Because if we practice eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth, the entire world ends up blind and toothless. You are supposed to recognize the futility in this as those who are about to stone the woman in John chapter 8, recognize that they have to stop. Because if they stone her, then they recognize they would have to stone themselves... and everyone ends up dead. Not a very good conclusion. God doesn't want this either because then His whole creation is lost. What to do? So John 3:16 actually answers these questions. God needs to have justice, but He also desires mercy and love. How are all these things satisfied without abusing the other? Well... God found a way. He offered up Himself as a solution. Isaiah 59 With regards to predestination vs freewill, I think you have to conclude that both exist. This is a paradox. Kind of like what came first, the chicken or the egg? Because we obviously have freewill... but here's the thing. Did not God create you? Therefore everything you do was set in motion by Him. God also knows the future. So while you may make a choice about something, God already knows what you are going to choose. In His view, it was predestined, while on your end it was a choice.

The Catholic Church did not write the Bible, Peter was not a Catholic. He was a Christian, so were the rest of the disciples. Christ fulfilled, the law, i.e. the canon. Furthermore, all scripture is written by inspiration from God and is profitable for doctrine. Alan Watts came from a Lenz of Protestantism that preaches works, which is heresy. Alan had preached from the Lenz of the true gospel, which is Ephesians 28 and nine and John 316 he would’ve actually died with some peace in his life instead of a homeless bum living on a boat as a drunk. Horrible father too. Sad dude really. The Gospel has always been that we are saved by grace through faith and never of our own works. he somehow transfigure this message by saying going against or trying to do anything in life is like trying to accomplish our salvation and then he spiritualize the message. Very misleading stuff.

If you did a deep dive into Ren as a person, you'd know Ren's motives are to make a difference in the world. It's not ALL about vanity. He believes he was given this platform and needs to use it wisely. You're actually doing him a disservice by NOT playing the song in it's entirety. It's a work of art that you chopped pieces out. The horrible things and the contradictions are what made me not want anything to do with any Christian churches. It wasn't until I found OTLE that I finally found a reason to believe again.

Anyone that claims to know what happens after you die should not be taken seriously, how can you go against a man that understood your arguments better than you understand his?! ... Christopher was very well read and in order to even begin thinking you can debunk him or his arguments you'd have to have atleast read multiple sources not just one book.
