Amazing sir love ur way of explanation a lot♥️♥️
These videos are really helpful.short n on point.
Can erythema multiforme show up as just one lesion in one part of the body and one lesion in another? Or is it always many lesions?
That'd be unusual, but I guess not impossible. It's usually a true eruption with multiple lesions.
Thank you so much for sharing! This coming September my nephew and his fiancée are applying to match as a couple and your tips are gold. I will post an update in March 2025.
Thank you 😊
Thank you very much Steven. Very nice explanation.
I’m currently dealing with this condition, I’ve had it for around 20 years with no signs of clearing after various treatments, diet changes and stress management. If anyone can help please reach out. Thank you.

Hi Dr. Steven Chen, I recently discovered my interest in Dermatology and your channel. I am currently a 2nd year medical student in Southern CA. I was wondering if there are any research opportunities you know of available to current medical students. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with the community!
Sure - I would look for DIGA - derm interest group association. It's a national student organization with research opportunities listed. Good luck!
thank you!@@mrandmrsheme
Can you also work as cosmetic dermatologist?
Sure, but it's just not what I am personally interested in.

Hi Chen, i wanted to apply for MPH , but some universities have pre-requisite of college level maths course. Can you provide info and some universities providing this course?
Can you please help me regarding IMGs applying for couple match. because a lot of my IMG seniors couldn't couple match, so please can you help regarding that?
This was so helpful! I'm a rising MS2 and interested in applying into derm, but I didn't really understand what med-derm was like. Thank you for sharing about your experience!
Dr. Chen, thank you for sharing your insights. I will be going a second masters in MPH and I'm really excited about it. My first was in nutrition.
Hello, Dr Steven Chen! Amazing and object video on all the fields we can work on as a dermatologist. I’m really just starting my path, I graduated from med school outside the US, and I’m studying for the step one as I wonder through the web search for a fellowship on dermatology I can apply to. I found you video very clear and informative. Maybe you could help me with an insight on how to apply for a fellowship with only my step one and as a med school grad. Looking forward to the match afterwards. Thank you so much!
I will finish my degree in Health Informatics next year! So should I try master in health informatics or MPH? My goal is to get doctorate degree in Health Informatics ! Which opinion is better ?
Im a med student about to graduate and looking to do an Mph. Im torn between a concentration in biostatistics or in epidemiology and i can’t seem to find information that helps to make the decision that would be beneficial when i start practicing. Please let me know what you would advise? Thank you
Biostats and Epi often go hand in hand, so you probably won't even have to make the decision. My concentration was the two together.
Thank you so much! This was really helpful
wow that is awesome😁
Hello Dr, just wanted to ask you. Is cosmetic dermatology a good mix with surgical dermatology. Where you can do cosmetic procedures as well as serious surgical removal. Thank you
Depends on the practice. You can do that, but some people just do cosmetics and some people just do skin cancer surgery.
great! now every time I'm going to order from Target I'll get flashbacks of SJS haha But seriously, great illustration, thank you!
This was extremely helpful and informative! Thank you, Dr. Chen. for IMGs, what should a research year applicant look for in a program in terms of boosting their chances of matching. I'd even say do you recommend specific programs that are IMG-friendly to do research in? Thank you for your time :)
Glad it was helpful! I think it's best to strategically do research at a program that might take you as a resident in the future. So look at their residents and see if there are any IMGs. If there are, and they previously did research at that program, it'd be a good sign!
