I don't think there's a downside. I think it's really still going to help for all the reasons we mentioned. Good luck!

Yes, absolutely. Actually, it's probably easier since the same program can coordinate. That said, you both would have to really to wow them, since a program might be nervous about splitting a couple up. So regardless, always rank the way you want to see it go - because ultimately the match favors the applicant, not the program.
