    Your accent is not a problem - I just want you to know that. However, the volume is low, your microphone is bad, and you're mumbling. Move away from the microphone if you can't figure out how to stop it popping every time you spit into it (a bit of foam between you and the microphone would do the job). AND FOR THE LOVE OF SANITY, SPEAK UP!! I gave up hoping you'd get to the point, also. Maybe put together a script or have a real think about what you're going to say before hitting that record button? Seriously, it was like listening to someone mumble in their sleep.

      Hi, and thanks! You can scan only a range of pages if you create a section in that range and then run the macro, properly adjusted of course. Afterwards you can remove the section, if you'd like. Let me know if you would like to tell you how. I haven't tested it, to be honest, but i don't see a reason why it should not work. Maybe you can do it for a range of pages without creating a section of course, but I will have to look into it. Good luck!

    I have created a drop-down list and a dependent drop-down list. However each selection has a long sentence entry and in a table. I need it to word wrap vertically. It keeps spreading out horizontally and messing up the table.

      Maybe try adjusting the table properties. I don't know if and how you can wrap text in a drop-down list.

    I have one issue. I have hundred images captioned manually. But later I came to know that we can auto caption images. I regret myself for learning things too late. So the problem is I am not able to insert table of figures because I added captions manually. Is there any way to insert table of figures even if I gave captions manually? All images have different captions and it will be even tiring and time consuming to convert manual captions into auto captions.

      If you had used a caption, even if added manually, of course you would be able to add a table of figures. That's the usual way, i just provided a way to automate it. But, if you just added text above your images, and not an actual caption, you can't insert a table of figures automatically. I'll have to see if code can actually use the text in the paragraph above an image and use it as the caption text. It could take some time, though. I'm no VBA expert, i just share tips and some code from my work.

      Hi. Obviously if your text extends to the next page, the layout changes. I'm not even sure what you are trying to do, to be honest.

    Can you do the same to sort references using a numerical referencing system, in order of first time cited in a/the word document (i.e. 1 aaa 2 bbbb), can you provide a VBA code to do that? Thanks

      Hi. You can sort your reference list numerically, if you have already numbered your references, for example [1]bla bla bla [2] bla bla bla etc. The code sorting the references in order of appearance in the text would be too complicated, if at all possible.

      Why it can't be reset? Change the format to number and you go back to numbers without percentages.

    Thank you SO much for this. I'm working on a 150 page document with hundreds of images and the auto numbering on the captioning was driving me crazy! This is SO helpful!!! Quick question for you - If I add images to the document later, how can I "refresh" the image numbers so that they're updated? (When I tried to run the script again, it just added another set of captions, so I had two captions for every image) :( Also, is there a quick way to wipe out all captions that are already in the file?

      It's possible to do many things, VBA is quite powerful. But, the more complex the task, the more complex the code. Not sure what you mean by when a certain letter configuration is visible.

    How about doing the opposite? If I want the first column to go all the way down when there isnt enough text to fill the full page? Automatically my columns are the same length but i'd like the first one (left most) to go all the way down and the second one to end whenever the text ends. Is that doable?

      That's the default Word behavior. First, it fills the leftmost column with your content, then it moves on to the next column. You must be doing something wrong, like inserting a page break when you shouldn't, if Word creates two columns of equal length, if your content is not long enough to fill both columns.

      No, you can't make the comments in a Word document anonymous. You can mark them as resolved or delete them, all of them or individual comments.

      I haven't noticed a similar issue. Values over 100% are displayed as they should in my spreadsheet.

      I added the period in the code after the figure number, because this is how i usually format my figure labels. Notice the line: Title:=". ", _ note the period between the quotation marks. Remove the period and just leave the quotation marks and, voila, the period is gone from your labels. Good luck.
