He’s such a beautiful human being. He offered his song, “The Voice” to the referendum on the giving the indigenous people of Australia a Yes voice to have a say in the constitution. His generosity & foresight into seeing the benefit this would have on the generational effect of 200+ years of Aborigines losing their land is deep. It takes someone who has struggled and looks into their own soul to see that such a simple step could have had such a profound effect on this nation. Sadly the opposition party decided to simply take the divisive path as a simple win lose outcome. There is some outstanding research on generational harm out of Queensland university on generational stress caused, especially to male child whether black white or whatever. So this vote would have truly have helped heal that scar.

Now we are talking. First punk band in the world. This song blew the world away. That guitaring. I won't rave. All this from an isolated little "country town" called Brisbane, a band in what was basically a police state of Queensland.

Now this is more like it! Also suggest Know Your Product. Singer Chis Bailey died 3 years ago but guitarist Ed Kuepper is still going strong and assembled a band to play songs from this era on a recent tour. To stop hiccups, try sucking on a big wedge of lemon.

My home city of Brisbane was socially restricted in the 70s. It can be argued The Saints and other acts were a reaction. In this case the conditions produced the world's first punk recording, before The Ramones and The Sex Pistols.

Great story , John’s just an all round good bloke that we Aussies can identify with . His music and inspiration will live on forever and finally the rest of the world can see and hear The Voice through channels like yours Mike. He has always been in our lives , in either music , stage shows , tv shows . We kinda got used to him being around . His recent health issues have really scared the life out of all us Aussies . They live in the Adelaide Hills and I was doing a job at a pub in the Adelaide hills and was standing at the bar waiting for the manager when the bartender asked the guy behind me for his order. The guy behind me told him that I was before him and the bartender said I was fine. I didn’t realise that someone was behind me and apologised and moved back from the bar. Looking at the back of him he looked familiar and when he got his drinks and walked away I realised it was Suffa from the Hilltop Hoods. He also stood up for my friend who was working in a servo and being berated by a customer over 5 cents. He told the customer to leave her alone, to get in his BMW and f**k off.

Every music sheet contains the marks to tell each musician the notes to play and when to go soft, loud, or whatever. During the segment "in ecstacy of gold," Sarah is conducting in absolute joy as everything has come together beautifully. She is the primary conductor of the Minnesota State Orchestra, though she guest conducts across the world. Ennio Morricone composed the music for a lot of spaghetti westerns by an Italian production company and most of the movies were shot in Spain.

The song covers both the end of war and the end of a relationship. The soldier’s relationship suffers as a result of the war. It’s not necessarily the end of the war but the end of deployment and the impact on personal relationships.

That performance never fails to move me. It certainly moved Robert Plant, who was fighting back tears. His performance of the song can't be bettered but Ann Wilson's is surely the closest we'll ever get. The way she belted out 'to be a rock, and not to roll' at the end was pretty special. Nancy played superbly too, certainly some stardust in that gene-pool. And the band, the choir, Bonzo's son on the drums.. I agree the Kennedy Centre honours have some stellar performances but there can't be many to match that, though Aretha Franklin's magnificent effort at the tribute to Carole King goes close...

It's now quite a few generations of musicians who, at some point super early in their journey towards competency, have tapped out or plucked out the Stairway to Heaven notes. Absolutely legendary song. The full Kennedy Center Honors show for Billy Joel is also really special.

The lady who sang "wah wah", her name is tuva semmingson, a classically trained singer in her own right, she sings everything from opera to standards to pop. A diva of the 1st class. If you look closely, for this concert she was wearing little six shooter earrings. PERFECT!!! I watched an interview with the two vocalists.Tuva Semmingsen AKA the Wa Wa Lady, as she has been called by the tube, actually likes being called the Wa Wa Lady. She couldn't believe how this performance took off on the tube. Christine Nonbo Andersen is the solo vocalist in the audience. This was her first performance with the Danish National Orchestra. Both ladies nailed their performances and added a stunning element to this Ennio Morricone masterpiece. Ennio Morricone was a composer of film soundtracks, where he used instruments and objects that are not normally used in an orchestral ensemble. Electric guitars, basses, ocarinas, bongos ... but also whips, gunshots, gusts of wind. Entering Morricone's work is a complete immersion. A moving tribute for fidelity down to the smallest details is what the Spaghetti Werstern Orchestra did to him.

Such an epic and iconic song and done beautifully here but hart and this huge production. From the vocals with the choir backing, to the normal band and then the orchestra, incredible.

❤ I actually really dug this. The beginning with the strings kind of reminded me of an Irish folk tune, and then the rapping started.
