After a Year of Sunday Lawn Care - Was it worth it?
Просмотров 54 тыс.Год назад
After using Sunday for a year, we're actually getting somewhere with the lawn! The start of the growing season showed us how prepared the lawn was to get underway. There were no detectable bare patches that usually come out of an icy cold winter. I swapped out a new play-set which left a few bare spots that filled right in with Fescue Rescue seeds. We were among the first households that needed...

Stronger roots and resilience to drought. New grass is dark green and very soft. No mushrooms on t...
Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smoker - Adventure Series - Unbox & Assemble
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.2 года назад
As a first-time smoker, I wanted something simple. The Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smoker (MES130S) looked like the perfect combo. Good features, reputable brand, reasonably priced ($239), easy to operate, and was fairly portable! Why electric? Well, I figured that if I'm home, I am much less likely to run out of electricity than I am to run out of propane. Propane also requires you to monitor the...

DJI's BEST SELF FLYING Beginners Drone? - DJI Air 2S - Unboxing and First Impressions w/ 4K Footage

This early refresh of the DJI Air 2 brings a much larger sensor for the main camera (1" CMOS) and a truly useful front-upward facing camera. While this may not warrant an upgrade from the Air 2, the Air 2S makes the already amazing drone even better (duh). This All-In-One drone features a foldable design that allows it to be packed into a very small carry bag, or in my case, inside my camera ba...

The Philadelphia Zoo in 2021

A Monday off work and nothing to do??? Off to the zoo!! In 2021, we still have to reserve our ticket a couple days in advance despite having a season pass. The Zoo requires visitors to be masked at all times unless they are seated and eating at the food court. Gift shops are limited to 10 minutes per group. A few areas were closed like the lizards and reptiles. Crowd-wise, it was very minimal, ...

Were can i buy those bricks please can someone tell me me
Dude! Didn’t even show installation to the end clamp. And there’s a better way to secure the lines than putting nail holes in your wood.
Outstanding....i wonder if you had sealed all the bricks and the top completely but had 3 lower openings at bottom bricks if it would be even better???
Yeah I would mortar it all together minus the holes at the bottom. I think I was concerned the ring might need replacing every few years but now that it’s seasoned for a while now, I’m confident it’ll hold up longer than I thought. Plus, it doesn’t help that my wife knocks it with the mower and it screws up the pit. Or when the kids randomly decide to walk on it 🤦🏻♂️
So, did you mortar all the other bricks as well? Sans the bottom….of course!
I only did the top most layer in this video. If I did it again, I’d mortar it all except the bottom. I guess I had too much faith in gravity keeping it all together 😅
Try code SURPRISE50 at checkout for 50% off a lawn plan! Not sure if they have any special restrictions on it…good luck and let us know if it works!
You had me until you didn't at least strip the sod let alone the top soild and put in a good base for the stones and to build and burn your fire one.
Getting free house plants😁
How many bricks did you use and the topper bricks? Did you just use pure dry wood, if not, can you test a tinder that’s a big less age or smoke some pellets to make sure it’s smokeless? I like your model just need to know before I build. Ty for the vid.
I have the quantity listed in the description along with links and pricing at the time this video was made. I also have a long burn video on this channel that shows it burning wood during the day. I think the wood wasn’t that well seasoned and you will see some smoke as the fire gets started.
I have this weeder and I LOVE it! 🥰
I like this build a lot. I was given a fire ring but it didn't have the flange on top, so this build is perfect for what I have. Thank you!
Excellent follow up and I love your humor. I was hoping for a breakdown of the cost but I 'll go to their website. I've already put down the Weed & Feed so I assume this year (April 2024) is to late to use this system. What do you think?
Great review I have been thinking about doing this for a little while but havent pulled the trigger. I will be doing this, this year. Thank you
I have to remove all of this on my two acres… will this make my natural grass come back ?
It does help your grass grow back, but it could also give way to new weeds. I tends to seed my lawn and water it after the weeds get removed to make sure grass replaces the bare spots instead of more weeds.
Excellent video! Thanks for the thoroughness! I’ve subscribed.
Then what do we do for rocks?
How is it holding up ????
Just fired it up today! I’ve left it outside under a patio and covered for the winter. Still smokes great and love it!
@@Jon_Chan bought at a auction for 90$ new . Been working great ! I appreciate it!
why is no one on youtube building these securing the bricks with any mortar? they're all just loose layered but stating they want to keep airflow in only certain areas I'm not quite understanding
Quick ways to waste $50
I wonder if you have to keep adding rock at the bottom of the fire pit. It would seem everytime you removed ashes you would also remove some of the rock with it. I've watched a couple dozen do-it-yourself smokeless fire pits and yours seem to work the best. I can actually see to top holes working. Most other videos drill too big of holes on top and too many holes on the bottom and they never seem to work as efficient as your pit.
I do lose some rocks but not enough to even notice. I basically scoop until I hit rock and then just mix what’s left into the rock. Rain takes care of most of the ash.
@@Jon_Chan .....Thanks for the response. I've watch many videos researching the best option for a do-it-yourself smokeless fire pit and your pit seems to work the best. What you said about smaller top holes building up more pressure compared to the larger holes make sense. I may give it a try soon. Thanks.
watched many but this gentleman nailed it, also with a crisper short video, thanks!
If you knew the galvanization was going to burn off, why did you buy it? Seems to me that stainless steel is better.
yours is the first 100% functioning one ive seen. Im building a rectangle cinder pit but using your airflow approach.
It all looks good, but I missed seeing the part that showed the verification of the smokeless feature. Was it truly smokeless?
Nice
The grass under the trampoline grew more as the grass naturally struggles to survive it shoots up grass blades to capture more sun. The weeds that prefer sun just die or don't grow in as the soil temp remains lower in the shade. The grass will eventually die as it becomes exhausted trying to survive in the shade. *2 decades professional lawn care experience
Now sold in Lowe’s and Amazon
Great video, I watched it a few times and tried to follow your build as much as possible. Unfortunately the stones you used from Lowe’s aren’t sold anymore. Also how many holes did you put I into the bottom of the ring? Mine is still not smokeless and I don’t know if it’s that or something else.
Ah I may have to update the parts list. I used 8 holes in the bottom. Make sure you have good wood to start with. Nice dry, seasoned wood smokes a lot less.
How many gallons of oil do you usually use with this method?
We get the 5 gallon containers and I’d say we use a little over half, so about 3 gallons.
Galvanized metal is very poisonous, if your near the fire while it's hot your killing yourself
Great, you used a lot of wood.
Brilliant I will buy that ring however I am in uk and denied access to see what and how many stones I need
There pretty sweet, unfortunately I believe dandy line roots are deeper then what the tool can reach. It's always a losing battle with weeds 😂
your vid is the most helpfull out of all the ones i have seen its very straight to the point
Of all the videos I have watched on this, yours looks to work the best. I think the deciding factor is you sealed the bottom and only a few holes feed the bottom and stuck to small holes on the top
Really? Ultimate lazyness..
If you want to check out the fire pit, you can find it here: www.bonslife.com/allot/transfer/1000179?redirectPath=%2Fproducts%2Fbonslife-smokeless-15-extra-bundle
Hi nice, want to buy,how do I get it?
Here's a link to the fire pit :) www.bonslife.com/allot/transfer/1000179?redirectPath=%2Fproducts%2Fbonslife-smokeless-15-extra-bundle
Does it burn the wood faster? If so it should be hot and use more wood
I love the video. Can you provide the sizes of the blocks and the cap stones? Take Care.
There’s a list in the description for you 😁
To bad you didnt check without the muffler. Wonder if it actually does work
The latching mechanism of this model is clumsy compared to the 20l european model. Its a bit different with diffirent functionality. But the mechanism is much better on that model
The problem is how huge amount of wood you need to feed in there to make it work at all. And with such huge amount of wood, it's likely you wouldn't get much smoke anyway, because the heat would be so great. Sadly it's really difficult to scale this solution down.
First build was great i meant to tell you 😊
That’s awesome!
Nice
Oh my god yes I remember seeing a video just like this so I took a water bottle but I put it in my freezer couple hours ago and I took it out. I squeeze it and it did that.
What is the width/distance between the bottom holes???
I’ve been using Sunday all summer. It works just gave to be consistent with using.
What size blocks are you using?
This is almost identical to my old Craftsman.
Cool! Thank you for sharing.
