The Philadelphia Zoo in 2021

A Monday off work and nothing to do??? Off to the zoo!!
In 2021, we still have to reserve our ticket a couple days in advance despite having a season pass. The Zoo requires visitors to be masked at all times unless they are seated and eating at the food court. Gift shops are limited to 10 minutes per group. A few areas were closed like the lizards and reptiles. Crowd-wise, it was very minimal, but it was also 11am on a Monday.

Our Zoo is one of the national treasures...I'm so glad it's been turned around...In the 60's, when I was in grammar school, the zoo was on hard times...The animals were so neglected and the place STUNK...This was before- the now defunct monorail was installed...It's beautiful now and we should be proud of it...Thanks for the video, I haven't been there in at least a decade...Maybe this spring...

Oh yea it was awesome! Not only was there way less people but the animals were much more active. Probably because they weren't melting in the heat.

i went on a hot day a couple days ago, and youre right. even the inside primates were lazing about. it was still a great visit though, some animals were quite active despite the heat
