Spent the evening installing an automatic watering system for my wife's hanging baskets. The system is very flexible in how long you want to make each part of the system to be. This is intended to be a drip irrigation system where water slowly comes out over a period of time. Since hanging baskets do not need a ton of water, I only set this to run for about 10 minutes a day, morning and evening.
For larger floor pots, be sure you don't overwater if you are doing this near a doorway. The puddles can get a bit much.
Also, watch out for freeze warnings! The ice will pop the tips off the system if left to the deep freeze. Whoops.

Great work running the tubing and attaching it to walls and ceilings. Disappointed in the video. First half nearly is opening the box. Really? Two thirds into the video, you attach the drippers, which everyone has to do. You did it backwards--the tubing should be attached to the red end, not the black one. Maybe that's why folks complain about low flow in the comments? Anyway, it's a good system.

LOL!! You are correct! Welp that’s why I leave the comments open, I don’t pretend to know everything. So red end connects to the tubing. And as for video format, let’s say things have hopefully improved from 5 years ago 😉

I have watched this twice now and I love you kept it up. This was easier for me to understand than the raindrip channel. Thank you for taking the time to do this and also for others comments and your vulnerability.

I think you put the emitters in backwards. The pointy red tip of the emitter is supposed to be inserted into the black tubing. 🤔

I had the same set. Hooked up 14 drippers and they barely dripped. Some didn't at all and I right before leaving for a three day vacation. S*#T

Charles Brown aww man that sucks. I know if you have too much pressure it will not drip. And too little pressure. It seems to like just the right amount of water pressure.
Ya know what’s funny though, I left for a week long vacation after installing this and my father in law accidentally shut off the main valve two days after I left. It was an 80F+ week. We came home to very dead plants. 😪

Oh dude are you serious? Wow. Well I bought the bigger system for trees and shrubs. That's what I should've got in the first place instead of the hanger plant kit. Trying to save money but I can use it elsewhere.

That flow coming out of the nozzle looks pretty weak at the end of the video.
Is that the maximum flow rate or just what you wanted for your plants.

Shibu11229 I didn’t adjust any flow, just whatever comes out of the hose bib. This is supposed to be drip irrigation, so I’d imagine the flow isn’t supposed to be very high.

Jon Chan That does make sense. I just installed a raindrip basket kit and connected it to two baskets. It seems to be working well. I can’t wait to hook it up to an additional three more baskets.
Have you had any issues with the nozzles becoming clogged? Right now I have the nozzle pointed down so I can see when water drips out of it. When I use the supplied steaks to keep it closer to the soil I’m a bit concerned that I won’t notice right away if the nozzle becomes clogged.
I suppose I should be able to see the water dripping from the bottom of the basket at some point though.

Amount that comes out is directly controlled by the drop emitter. Assuming pressure is good and everything installed correctly. Most 1/4" emitters will be 1/2 gallon per hour up to 2 gallons per hour.

Dude! Didn’t even show installation to the end clamp. And there’s a better way to secure the lines than putting nail holes in your wood.
