**Dynasties in the NBA: Love, Hate, and Their Impact on the League**
The concept of dynasties in the NBA, defined as teams that dominate the league by winning multiple championships in a short span, sparks passionate debates among fans. On one hand, dynasties symbolize greatness and excellence, while on the other, they are often criticized as boring or predictable. However, the irony lies in the fact that dynasties often draw the highest levels of interest and engagement, reflecting their undeniable influence on the sport.

TOO many 3-pointers in the NBA?
Просмотров 10 тыс.16 часов назад
#nba The three-point shot has redefined modern NBA basketball, evolving from a novelty to a cornerstone of offensive strategy. Introduced in 1979, the three-pointer initially accounted for less than 3% of all field goal attempts and was often reserved for desperation plays. Over time, players like Larry Bird and Reggie Miller integrated it into their arsenals, but even Miller, a historic sharps...

#nba The triangle offense, popularized by legendary coach Phil Jackson, anchored both the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers’ championship runs. In its essence, the triangle is a setup rather than a scripted play. #nba Positionless basketball has transformed the way we think about traditional roles on the court. To understand this shift, let’s break down what each position brings to a team, from the classic “5” or center position to the “1” or point guard. Historically, basketball’s five positions each had distinct roles. Players were assigned numbers for simplicity: the center (5), power forward (4), sm...

I must admit. I will hate watch the CeltiKKKs but i doubt many people give a shit about them
awesome video goat
Celtics are becoming one 🙏🙏
the new dynasty should be adam silver being replaced
Awesome that you're making some money from this videos, it's evident the work you put on them
You're 100% correct on this one. It's the same thing with LeBron. He was a dynasty all by himself. We need Wemby to win so we can start hating on him.
Beimg this early feels illegal Anyway, i nominate the Milwaukee Bucks as the next Dynasty
can you make a video explaining the all star format and should it go back to east v west?
yeah i hate watched the wolves after they eliminated the nuggets and that luka 3 healed something in me
It’s unlikely, but if the league wants a true villain again, they need Luka to pull a LeBron and form a superteam somewhere. Either that, or pray Tatum develops a personality of his own.
Literally if JT were a little bit less robotic/media trained
would the 08 celtics be considered a dynasty had they not gotten injured and won more than 1 championship?
2017-2019 nba fans wished for parody and now don''t like it
They never wanted that . What they really wanted was for their on personal teams to win .
parity?
The only reason why tv ratings go up when there’s a dynasty in the finals is cuz of casual fans. I didn’t know a single warriors fan before 2016 now I know a lot. People who actually care about the league don’t want to see the same team win.
Yeaa but if you want the ratings you gotta appeal to the casual fan
You're exactly right. Without the casual fans, it becomes hockey.
It’s gonna be 2 mini dynasties. Boston and OKC.
I want a dynasty (for my own team)
I am very early and it makes me feel good about myself.
Thanks!
EFG% just makes it make logical sense to shoot what is most effective/valuable, if the league/fans don’t like the amount of 3 being taken the next step to take would be to move the line back. The further rebound on further shots thing is interesting perspective, it makes sense for the reasons you gave and definitely adds a different dynamic to rebounding advantage theory. The saved energy concept is a good one too, why tire yourself out when a better opportunity is available. Pretty amazing how much that line has changed the game from early on when it was introduced to what it has turned into. Nice of you to be sympathetic to 3 point shot “haters” 😬. Korver did a heck of a job making a nice career for himself out of being exclusively a 3 point specialist. I don’t know much about Fultz but it’s a sad thing for stuff like that to happen to some of these guys. Thanks again papa, respect as always 🫡
ae sga and maaaybe tatum if he loses a bit of his media training
in america atleast luka's already everyone's boy worldwide
what about ja?
you're actually right I feel like the drama around ja is kinda forgotten about already besides jokes, but I've literally gotten into the sport 6 months ago so I can't say for sure in good faith lol
can you talk about scouts some time? and maybe other roles that are misunderstood in nba or any pro ball?
I've always wanted to, but I never can find enough information to make a quality video.
@whatslaps ah. can I ask what sources you found? I saw one newer channel, and they also seem open to collaborating maybe? I also wondered about the topic, players and charity in general? nba cares, and athletes being part of organizations, was something I wondered if you had critical views of? seemed potentially alot to say, if you felt that way
crazy that karl malone got in tho
I think a lot of that stuff became public knowledge after his induction.
Limit the number of attempts After 40 attempts it only counts as 2 points
yeah, people are saying that.
Video Idea- Why are NBA players crashing tf out.
what do you mean exactly by _crashing out_ ?
@@whatslaps ruclips.net/video/tB2xtE24awM/видео.htmlsi=oGAyDGa54wDhfa1O wtv tf this was. this type of behaviour
Do a sports ranking on your shorts channel lol
Yeah, that'd be cool. I gotta back log a few for January, so that's a good one to have in the chamber.
my take away from this video is that you should really look into fantasy basketball, it gives me a reason to pay attention to teams/players i normally wouldn’t
also just discovered your channel, great stuff definitely one of my new favorites
That's how I got into football. Fell out of love with fantasy but for a time I loved it.
Implement libero like system. There should be designated sniper per team. Sniper has no 3pt limit. Other players has limited attempt. Sniper wears different team color. Only one sniper on the court per team.
I've thought implementing rules like this and I love the idea. The truth is the NBA is trying to get more casual fans interested so complicating the rules might be counterintuitive. I like it though.
Whatslaps you should do a video on which position is hardest/easiest to break into the Top 5 all time. I was thinking about this because someone asked on NBA Twitter “who is the 3rd greatest point guard OAT” and I found it really interesting how all the players getting mentioned were farrrrrrrr inferior to Steph/magic. I feel like the nba is ripe for a new all time great PG, possibly Shai. Conversely it seems really hard to be a Top 5 center or SG all time
Yeah, I might do that on this channel @whatshorts anything _ranking_ relative I try to throw over there. I feel like I've done a lot of positional stuff, but the conclusion is sort of the question "what's a point guard?"
❤🙏🙏❤

for sure
Is the shot too easy for the NBA level, 36%?
I don't think so, but that's jsut me.
@@whatslaps I think the ideal distance is where the percentage is 33.3%. That gives 1 point per shot.
The NBA must fix the problem with having everyone shooting 3pts and teams averaging more than 30 attempted 3 pointers per game. I'll say this the NBA must look at when was the NBA most popular, seems to be around 2010, then whatever the average of 3 pointers attempted per game was that year, around 18 per game, make that the maximum number of 3 pointers a team can attempt. No team should attempt more than 18 3 pointers in a game of they exceed that hit them with a technical foul and give the other team 2 free throws. Think about some exceptions and fine tune this rule and there you go. I just saved the NBA.
I think the league's most recent peak was the warriors cavs finals era, but I think if the cavs and warriors were shooting the amount of threes that the celtics are now no one would find it boring. I think the real problem is there aren't enough interesting narratives in the league right now. That's just my speculation. I'm just riffin like everyone
Kobe warned everyone about AAU basketball years ago. I just looked up the video here on YT
didn't I put the clip in this video?
I tend to think a lot about how the clippers wanted to get rid of Baron Davis so they traded him along with a first round pick that later turned into Kyrie Irving
oof. Dang was that first overall an unprotected pick from the Clippers?
@ indeed it was an unprotected clippers pick cause get this the clippers GM at the time said the draft was “weak” , the pick was projected to go 8th and they had a .028% chance of it being the first pick but then the lottery odds shot up and the rest is history
These are such horrible takes lol. The one sports league who is criticized for giving the players too much control apparently "doesn't like player empowerment" according to this guy. It's such a laughable take. There are reasons to restrict player control, bc the needs of the league have to come first. Giving players too much control fucks with the league. There are a few awful takes here
yeah but good content at least right?
The idea to give players agency in where they go, giving them the option to decline where they're drafted, that breaks any sports league. It creates a scenario where potentially, a bad team can never improve itself if enough players never wanna play for them. You essentially have a team who is incapable of getting better because no one wants to play for them. At that point, you might as well just get rid of the franchise. This idea is so bad, it's potentially league breaking. Im not a fan of people like John Elway and Eli Manning trying to dictate where they go either, bc it's the same problem. If John Elway doesn't wanna go to the Colts, then maybe the next great player won't want to either. If enough players do this, we might as well just get rid of the Colts franchise, bc they can't improve themselves now. You can't have this in a sports league the desires parity.
I think guys would take the rookie scale contract as opposed to the league minimum.
I thought a double-double was when you get 10 or more of 2 seperate stats... not a single stat as stated?
I may have mispoke. 10 or more in any 2 columns
@whatslaps because you said it, i wasn't confident lol
It's my birthday Joseph pls make it happen
go go go go go shorty!
In hockey, Connor McDavid pulled the '69 Jerry West last year, with his team losing overall, but him still getting the finals MVP. This also only happened one other time in the 70s, but otherwise is the only time it's ever happened. Many fans balked at this for extremely understandable reasons, but ultimately coulda been worse
wow I remember hearing was a star last year I didn't realize he won the SCMVP crazy
how many comments on a vid until you stop replying
How many until I hire an intern is the question.
Not a Padres fan
I like Manny. I don't like the colors.
What's the next meta trend in the NBA?
that's good. foul drawing is definitely a trend.
Who keeps stats and how does it work?
stat keepers put it in a computer I assume.
Can someone explain what the 0.500 ratings and such mean? Like it good for a team to be -0.2700 or i dont even remember how its written
like gambling odds?
@whatslaps yeah I think so

The NBA is completely dead.
relaX
Limit the # of 3s a game. Make them finite -- like timeouts, fouls, challenges. Cap it at 30-35 attempts. That'll add some much needed physicality to the game, diversification of offense schemes. But the way you're explaining it is NOT the solution. It's the equivalent of a shoulder shrug. The hard data is that NBA viewership is down since 2012 something akin to 40%.That can't all be explained by more sports choices, RUclips highlights and Social Media when other traditional mainstream sports are rising, including the WNBA. Pretend this was YOUR problem to solve, that you were getting paid to help Adam Silver fix. Then go make a video about that because that's part of the solution instead of what you did here, which is more of the status quo thing. The fact is, if this trend continues, declining viewership and interest, it's going to impact the league... whether its salaries, valuations, contraction instead of expansion, all the way down the line.
no doubt
Hi :3
what's brackin?
SINCE 2018!!
exactly
You see sports league are really a business about entertainment and business comes first thats why people buy tickets and the billionaires in charge get money but now with three point shooting it's not so entertaining than dunking doing lay up etc it feels dry and overused thats why the nba is dropping due to the lack of entertainment thats why the 90s to early 2000s was so successful they was a mix of play styles tough defense and lots of entertaining dunks
I think players need to take the dunk contest more seriously. Guys want signature shoe deals, but sit out on the dunk contest every year.
