    • @HemlockRidgeUSA
      @HemlockRidgeUSA Месяц назад

      Yes, one set goes to the charge controller and one to the inverter. You can't connect the inverter directly to the charge controller as the voltage varies based on sun coverage, clouds, etc. The inverter needs a constant 12V which the battery provides.

    • @ramcholan2034

      @@ramcholan2034 I'm sure there are some limitations. My inverter came with alligator clips installed as it's only a 300W inverter. I'm sure if you are getting up to 1000W plus you'd want something more substantial. Good luck!

    Hello Sir, nice to see your update wish it was longer. May I ask if bears are a concern? You mentioned watching wildlife from that bench I was thinking are you ever on watch out for bears or do you always have bear spray or a gun for anything that may attack in a rare situation? Sorry I assume you are in area with bears but I could be wrong.

    • @HemlockRidgeUSA
      @HemlockRidgeUSA Месяц назад

      Thanks for the note! Yes, will try to get some longer videos up soon. Summer has been so busy it's been hard to find time to film. Luckily bears are fairly rare here. Every few years there may be a bear that passes through the area, but they are not a regular occurrence. I have yet to see one or pick one up on a trail cam. I do have coywolves though (coyote/wolf hybrids) that are quite large. They travel in packs and I frequently hear them howling at night. I've caught them on trail cams but haven't encountered them in person. At the moment, they are fairly afraid of humans and there haven't been any human conflicts in the region, so let's hope it stays that way!

    • @HemlockRidgeUSA
      @HemlockRidgeUSA Месяц назад

      Yes, if you don't plan on discharging the battery much. Car batteries aren't made to be drained much or they'll fail. Deep cycle batteries can support discharging to about 50% repeatedly. Your best bet if your setup won't be charged below freezing is a LiFePO4 battery. It allows you to discharge it nearly completely without any damage or loss to the battery.
