Should've supported the trusses with some 4x4 posts. That's what we use in WNY on hoophouses. We get lake effect from Lake Erie Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes. North East and West.
Sorry your building roof collapsed. Get yourself a metal carport and you can add sides to enclose it. They're not too expensive and work great plus you can put them anywhere. We love ours for the boat and tractor!
Right now just grabbing snow in a large stock pot and melting on the stove. I've had mixed feelings on rainwater catchment as the water still needs to be filtered and boiled as it can pick up pathogens from the roof and gutters en route to the barrel (bird droppings, etc).
I used to keep a boat in a tent like that. I built a temporary to buy for wall down the center to support the ridge.
I believe it.

Thanks. Definitely need to try something new, although this was certainly an anomaly. Just a few miles away, a pole barn collapsed on a bunch of cows.
@@HemlockRidgeUSA that's sad about the cows. Love the videos...keep them coming!
Do you have a rain catchment system or barrels to put the snow in for your water needs?

What drone are you using for Ariel shots?
It's one of the small DJI drones. Need to check the model when I get home :-)
Where are you located?
In the Great Lakes region.
