Change the attack angle on that blade, with feet on it you can run right down without lossing your gravel and have the plow clear deeper to avoid the moguls

Is that blade set up for feet/foot pegs? If so, use them. If not, install some. They keep the blade above and off the ground, allowing you to plow as low as possible without scalping(normally) and lets the cable have more slack where it's needed at humps/moguls. When the front of the vehicle raises and you want the plow to stay on the ground, slack the cable. A tight cable raises the plow with the vehicle, preventing the plow from doing its job. Those pegs are great for bare ground as long as it's not mushy muddy, but works wonders on a gravel driveway or gravel lot without removing the gravel if used correctly. I was used to plowing blacktop or concrete, level and smooth. Blade down and go to town. Learning to plow graveled areas taught me a lot about those pegs and how handy they are to have. Look for a vertical tube or loop on the back side of the blade, one on each side of the center toward the outer edge of the blade. If the tubes or loops are there, you just need the pegs/feet/skis/skates. Most are adjustable with a stack of spacers(really thick washers) or the shaft has a line of holes for a pin. Speaking of pins, replace 2 bolts on your mount with pins. The first 2 you put in when you attached to the side brackets just under the front end. Makes it easier and quicker to attach/detach the plow when needed.

Thanks for the comments and tips. Yes, I have two feet on the plow at their lowest position. It still wants to hang up a bit as it seems to be angled down too far and I don't seem to have a way to adjust that. Good tip on slack in the winch cable and the pins for the brackets! Appreciate it-

Nice video, I just read somebody said they are...".east of you over in Tioga County..". So I take it you are in Central, N.Y. ? Here's a tip, attach a 6ft. piece of weighted chainlink fence to the back of your 6x6 to flatten the mogals.

Oh- I'm in the Great Lakes Region. I guess he means east of the Great Lakes! That's a good tip John. It would turn the 6x6 into a mini-groomer!

I went to Boot Camp at Great Lakes in January 1965. Damn! It was cold.

Thank you. It was built by a local Amish man. I just did the interior/finish work.

Btw..is that 1/4 mile access on a strip of property you own..or just a right of way?..That right of way "thing" can sometimes be a concern.. There is a similar property behind mine....
