Hi. Thanks for watching. I didn’t do anything regarding the logo. As it was a collaboration they asked if I wanted my logo in it. So all I did was send it to them and they loaded it on. My cameras are on the helmet a GoPro 12 and garage was a GoPro 10 but have now changed to a DJI Osmo pocket 4. My last two videos have been with the DJI.

@Robbiemoto cheers. Sorry what I meant on logo was the design of it originally - did you create it on say paint or another program. Trying to create one but I'm not very creative - draw anything mechanical etc on automatically but sh-£t on creative stuff

Sorry also was it not pocket 3 - can't find a 4 out there?

@johnpurvis530 Ah right. A friend made it up. I don’t know how he did it or what he used. I had another logo made up by using the website Fiverr, it is double r on the end. Not a spelling mistake lol. There a lot of talented people on there you can get to use to design brand logo’s or editing. Prices vary but I think the logo I had done was £35. It’s on the header of my FB page if you wish to see. I don’t use FB that much.

That’s not good. Which battery did you change. The fob or main 12v one.

@Robbiemoto the fob battery, main battery is good and reading 12.8.That tiny wee orange light came on a few times lately the small one on the left of the screen. Think it means fob battery low or fob reading low

Trouble with the 1290 is it’s very fussy when it comes to electrical power. Even if the key fob battery is dead you should still be able to start the bike by putting the fob on the wireless symbol on the rhs fairing. Do you keep the bike on charge ? If not give it a charge for 24hrs and see how it goes.

@Robbiemoto when I put battery charger on it within 2 seconds it reads full.I suppose it's ktm's weakness the electronics!!The strange thing is it just happened all of a sudden,driving flawlessly rode it it to shed and locked it up and 2 days later just nothing 😳

It really is mate. They’re really temperamental when it comes to having the correct voltage. It may well be a case of getting a new battery.

Hi. Yes I would recommend them. I’ve bought two bikes from them. All service work is done by them and also I unfortunately crashed my 1290 to which they rebuilt it with no issue. You’re gonna get some people that aren’t happy at some point from any dealer but my experience has been good. Tell them I sent you on recommendation. 🤣🤣

Nice one mate. I thought they seemed a good bunch when i was there last. And literally bought a new 690 from watching your videos last year 😂. Use it day in day out for commuting and for ride outs. I absolutely love it 👍

Yes mate they do. Ducati dropped a clanger with cast wheels. I’m not that far from Oxfordshire. I ride a lot around the Cotswolds. There are some awesome roads around there. I take it you saw our reviews vid riding there. 😁

Hi. It’s not designed to be removed that easily unfortunately. It would be helpful if it was just plugged in by a single Connector but it’s not. You’d have to unscrew the cables individually and that’s only if you’d left the screw connections to the cables free and not buried them under panels of the bike.

Personal choice. And you’re perfectly free to watch what you want. My channel isn’t specific to KTM infact it started with my 2011 Kawsaki Z1000.

Thanks and congrats on the new ride. Was your dealer Kestral, as that was my local one who just disappeared over night. I don’t think the SDR will go due to the silly money that’s offered by for them but we will see.

My dealer was Popes down here in Gosport (near Portsmouth). KTM just kept making more and more demands on him so he let the franchise go meaning my nearest dealer was 50+ miles away. It was the final thing to drive my decision. 👍

@pauljoel4514 I’ve been to Gosport many times. I have family there lol. I can totally understand your dealer getting annoyed and totally understand you’d not want to travel that far to another.

I didn’t bother fitting them to the 690. Only to the 1290. Hopefully you can make them fit.

It's probably not even needed but most people swear by them

I never even gave it a thought to be honest but got them given to me by racetorx. After fitting I then thought yeah this feels a little better.

lol. I should be putting one out by the weekend. Hypermotardking and I had a little get together talking about the 690 and 698 along with all things bikes. Not my usual stuff but hopefully it will go down well. I’m hoping to up my game with putting vids out. It’s not so easy to get here in England and DNA is just as good.

I’m a little surprised the dongle won’t work. My 690 is a 23 and had a dongle before the flash. Both bikes are pretty much the same under the plastics. The wings pipe does sound good.

@@Robbiemoto Yeah i know thats why im confused. I went to the link in the video and sent the bloke at crt performance a message about it. Fingers crossed it does, cause ill be wacking that 15 front on with it.

CRT is where I bought mine from. A little pricey for what it is but it does help with the low down fuelling.

For sure the 1290 is more of a beast. I’ve not ridden a 500 so can’t compare. I love the 690 it rides really well.

That’s fair enough. I did this about two years ago and from memory seemed the same. I’ll have to look back on the video. I don’t have the bike anymore. But do remember not having much of an issue getting it in. Have you ordered the exact same unit from SMF ?

@mysterjd34 I just had a look back and yep you’re totally right the back of the unit is different. My bad.

I’ve only done a few miles since fitting it. Others that have done this mod say no but with comparing the speedo, which is always a couple of miles out anyway with GPS it’s around 3-4mph difference at 50mph or there abouts. GPS readings are usually pretty accurate. So in a nut shell I’d probably say not really 😁

Thanks. I appreciate that. You feel the main difference when riding in slow moving traffic or around town riding. Standard the bike is lean and so you’re having to ride the clutch more along with constantly feathering the throttle. ECU tune is the best way to go. Dongle fools the bike into thinking it’s cold and so pumps more fuel in.

@@Robbiemoto Yes, i know the basics. Just got an SM700 with a Tekmo Ti+Arrow and wonder how to move forward. Maybe i will sell it and swap it for a Wings, they seem more compact and i think they sound better. Bit lighter too.

Thanks for the comment but the issue here as shown was a dead keyfob battery.

At the time these bikes were pretty close to stock and just an after market exhaust on the 690 isn’t gonna make a huge difference between the two. A stock comparison won’t be possible now as both bikes are now modified with a remap, fuel dongle and exhausts.

@@Robbiemoto interesting - whenever I complain about how little power the 690 had after my test ride, everyone tells me they're like that stock and they really need an exhaust to open it up. Even the Ducati exhaust is supposed to "unlock" about 10% more power. I'm still waiting to do a back to back test ride at the dealer.

It does make a bit of a difference but it’s not huge. These bikes were pretty much on par. The Ducati had the edge a few times but considering I’m like 3 stone heavier than Kal that wouldn’t have helped lol.
