Thanks. I appreciate that. You feel the main difference when riding in slow moving traffic or around town riding. Standard the bike is lean and so you’re having to ride the clutch more along with constantly feathering the throttle. ECU tune is the best way to go. Dongle fools the bike into thinking it’s cold and so pumps more fuel in.

@@Robbiemoto Yes, i know the basics. Just got an SM700 with a Tekmo Ti+Arrow and wonder how to move forward. Maybe i will sell it and swap it for a Wings, they seem more compact and i think they sound better. Bit lighter too.

Thanks for the comment but the issue here as shown was a dead keyfob battery.

At the time these bikes were pretty close to stock and just an after market exhaust on the 690 isn’t gonna make a huge difference between the two. A stock comparison won’t be possible now as both bikes are now modified with a remap, fuel dongle and exhausts.

@@Robbiemoto interesting - whenever I complain about how little power the 690 had after my test ride, everyone tells me they're like that stock and they really need an exhaust to open it up. Even the Ducati exhaust is supposed to "unlock" about 10% more power. I'm still waiting to do a back to back test ride at the dealer.

It does make a bit of a difference but it’s not huge. These bikes were pretty much on par. The Ducati had the edge a few times but considering I’m like 3 stone heavier than Kal that wouldn’t have helped lol. Thanks. Having the dash board would have been very handy on the 690. Aaocci didn’t make me aware of the new software. I was only told of the new packaging. It wasn’t until after I made the video I realised that feature was missing.

@@Vanity7k I’m guessing with you saying it’s a 700 that it’s a GasGas maybe. If so maybe the pressures are different because they have cast wheels and or different tyres. I’m just guessing

@ that would make sense! Btw have you had any oil leaks on yours? Just saw your vid on the sprocket as well, and I have the same sprocket but I think the countershaft seal’s been leaking since the previous owner had it with the original 16T sprocket.

Great news. Glad it was of some help.

Black frame…… NOOOOOO 😁. Decals or wrap anywhere else but the frames got to be orange.

Thanks. Really appreciate that. I do prefer the clean look and I’ve tried to make it look much more like a regular bike screen. Hopefully the MPH/KPH can be sorted out with a software update. I use Waze most of the time and that displays MPH so just like when I’m in the car I’ll leave the display on that.

I belive it's an updated unit compared to the previous C6. I've seen the C9, I actually thought it was the bigger brother to the C6. Although the C9 doesn't have GPS does it ?

@@Robbiemoto C9 uses the GPS from your phone, its not built into the unit like the C6-main reason i went with the C6

@@Gostiic you can put the original cover back on so it’s more enclosed. But if not then yes as it keeps the filter in place.

Because the headlight is advertised as having hi and low beams so I want it to work as advertised.

Hi just a dongle and exhaust no you don’t need an open airbox. I’ve now had the bike remapped so no longer need the dongle fitted and have a DNA open filter as well.

Yep I recall those days. I always waited until the last Sunday if I needed anything as the stall holders never wanted to take all the stuff back home so bargains galore. I have to say though this show was better than the last couple of MCL shows the past few years. And a million times better than London 😁

Yes. I don’t think I filmed it though. It was right next to KTM and we were wandering around the stand looking for the 125 and 390 smc r’s which they didn’t have. We then just wandered past the CF stand. Which like KTM Only had a few bikes on. Nowhere near as big as their stand at EICMA.

@@pauljoel4514 It’s something to experience a show of that size. It would be better if there were more public days available. Maybe the crowds wouldn’t be so bad. I don’t regret going and would go again…. But maybe in a couple of years time 😁. Next up is the MCL show in Birmingham.
