Thanks. Any bike stuff that I’m Impressed with will always get a mention. I wasn’t just impressed by the product but the company as a whole. I tried not to make it look like an advert as much as I could lol.
Good honest review Robbie 👍🏻 the Hood Jeans did brilliant considering that your leg was under the bike, really surprised by the Alpinestars is it a stretch panel that the hole is in rather than the thicker textile 🤔 the things you have to do , to get some new jeans 👖🤣🤣 stay safe buddy 🏍️💨💨👍🏻👍🏻
Haha, I’d rather not fall just for new kit. Took my old arse over a week to stop aching 🤣. The sleeve jacket was the same material all over. It doesn’t have any stretch panels.
@@Robbiemoto 🤣🤣 yes Iv noticed as I’ve got older you don’t bounce like you use too 🤣👎🏻 that’s really surprising about the jacket even more so with the make, as you would expect a well known brand and also not cheap kit to hold up better. Good to see you up and about buddy, have fun 🏍️💨💨💨👍🏻👍🏻
Looking to order either some Hood Jeans or Roadskin Jeans (or both). I dont want baggy but since the jeans I just got were too tight in the knees for one and too tight in the crotch for another I am a bit worried about ordering the SK11 from these. I am not a big guy either 6'0" 195lbs athletic. Would love any feedback especially the SK11 vs K7 the comments below say the K7 are too baggy for most. They also do not have my size in right now (32) assuming these are strechy a bit? So I dont want to go up a size to 34.
I’ve not tried the road skin so can’t really comment. Regarding the K7 for me they really are too baggy. If you are used to wearing baggy loose fit jeans then they should feel ok. I wear regular style jeans and the SK11 is spot on. I believe they have a returns policy so you could order and if the first size is no good then order next size up or order 2 pairs, your normal Jean size and one size up and return the other pair. A bit of a pain in the arse I know but at least you’ll get to know how they fit you.
@@Robbiemoto Good to know. I'm in super hot and humid Florida so I'm prioritizing single layer over lined as I think they should be cooler to wear but I'll pick up at least one pair to have so I can know for sure, and if they are warmer maybe good for the brief winter.
Nice. Ive never been to Florida so not sure if it’s a different kind of heat but have ridden up and down California quite a few times and always rode with Hood jeans. Yes they are a heavy denim and lined but really didn’t have an issue even when walking round.
@@Robbiemoto Yeah way more humid here, it has rained every day for the last 6 weeks. I was stationed in California and would hang out in Arizona on weekend leave. It was hot, but not humid so cloths breath really different. I'm excited to order a pair, waiting on my size to be in stock for order.
@ViciousXUSMC That’s more rain than here in England, never thought I’d say that 🤣. I did think maybe the humidity would be different. I need to get over to Florida. I’ve done NY and NJ on the east and as far up west side as San Fran and as far south San Diego. I hope when you get the jeans that they work well for you. I can say I’ve had 2 slides whilst wearing them. My last one a bad one as I broke my pelvis but the jeans held up very well.
I’ve just learned about the Hood jeans. Thanks for sharing your real-world experience. That helps with my decision. What jacket did you decide to order after the Alpinestars disappointment? Thanks for the video. 👍
No worries. I went for the Furygan baldo 3 in 1. I can say that it’s a great jacket and does what it’s meant to. Unfortunately I tested it in another fall. A bit worse that my little slide on the 690.
I've had a pair of Hood jeans for several years now. I absolutely love these jeans and plan on ordering another pair soon.
Best out there.
Honest recommendation is always good...the Hood jeans certainly held up well.
Thanks. Any bike stuff that I’m

The wear on the Alpinestars jacket is shocking for a slow speed slide. Glad you came away without any bad injuries.
Thanks. I was really disappointed and quite shocked at the damage.

Are they SK11s or K7s?
Hi. Sorry for the delay in replying.
They are SK11
@Robbiemoto Thank you. Just returned my K7s, too baggy for me and exchanged for SK11 which are perfect. Thank for the vidoes it was really helpful.
My pleasure. I have some K7’s as well and totally agree they’re too baggy.

What speed did you come off at?
Around 20-25mph.
At what speed was your slide?
I don’t know exactly but a guess at around 20-25mph.
