Plus, playing a game now with a post-apocalypse wild west theme, and enjoying that one a lot.

Pretty relevant again because the latest player's handbook is being called into question...! It looks like it could have (individual opinions) been partly AI generated and fixed by the artist. (hands, minor mistakes) Has the trademarks of AI in that it looks good but then the more you look the more you find... A human art any imperfections stand out instantly but AI has a balancing magic most real human artists might sell their souls for to make it seem perfect so lots of crazy stuff like weird fingers are not noticed without high scrutiny. At least the OSR/Indie crowd can openly use AiArt if they choose. Many of us also hire illustrators. It's cool to use illustrators to make specific characters and creatures then use AI for the fantasy backgrounds since the former tend to refuse or overcharge for fantasy scenery. But we are open about it. The big dogs, with Hasbro and G-d knows what hedge funds backing them up should be able to output $ with a fire hose and hire the best of the best of the best at a high price. Piles of books in the bookstores gathering dust but the Government will bail them out any reported losses and help them work with the bookstores to keep out any competition... Just "One Man's Opinion" of course!

i was one of the "new demons" that joined on when applebitches blew up. it feels weird joining on exactly then because she's gotten even bigger and i see more people coming on and finding her when shes even more big and funny and goofy and being almost completely detached from DDK, but i can't say that i was truly there either, because i wasn't. so like theres the new kids that're too fresh and obsessed with the now, but there's also the old kids who were there back in the old days and resent the now. and then there's me/us

I bought the core book and expansion a while ago and just hadn't gotten around to trying it out. But recently a few of my dnd games ended (ones I absolutely loved btw) and I decided it was time to step away from dnd and embrace my love for jrpgs. Just dipping my toe in, but I'm really excited to play and experience the kind of story and game play I love. Thank you for reinforcing that in this video.

This is my go-to for running Final Fantasy campaigns. It's very, very easy to reflavor all of the items, spells, etc., into FF-themed abilities. The classes also have very obvious parallels (Chimerist is just straight-up Blue Mage, to name one example). And if that doesn't show you the influences: "Fabula Ultima" is Latin for "Last Legend," aka. "Final Fantasy"

But regardless Im so glad to see you're still doing well and your current model looks fantastic. I'm a pretty big Calli fan and this song definitely took me off guard and made me think about a lot of things. I was very sure it wasnt about whatever is happening in Nijisanji because a song of this quality would take far longer than the time passed since the termination. I will admit it's VERY topical, but the industry problems definitely dates far before the recent implosion. I was glad to watch this video because I had a lot of theories about the song but couldnt say much as someone that's only in the industry as a fan. I'm thankful to hear your insight as an indie vtuber, and I can't really offer much but hope things get better. I think this song was definitely a wakeup call for me who also watches a lot of corporate vtubers. Thank you again and I hope to see more of your content!

"D&D but" has got to be the most disrespectful way to describe a TTRPG.

This is a weird but good review - I think its important to put Actual play in the review. Ive seen other reviews that were negative BUT not actual play just a book review.

The elephant in the room is who she's talking about. There's a reason she says "Black" multiple times in the song (Kuro). The timing is too good, for her to use that word specifically. The fly is kinda obvious as well. Flies are drawn to ____. The fact that "Kuro" and "Kuso" sound similar is kind of a 4d joke. 😅

There is a lot to unpack, and honestly there is a lot I think has to do more with how crazy high and low 2023 was. Calli tries to be active in the Indy-sphere and you see lot's of attitude of betting on who the algorithm will pick up. miss treatment in the corpo scene. clout chaser and fake well wishers. Calli has talked about UMG blocking Holo collab song's, she had to spend a lot of last year. To be allowed to make fire and ice with Kiara and that maybe the last myth one she does. She and other holo en faced a lot of back lash for interacting or not interacting with stars. Having to fight to make connect the world happen and who they could invite. kiara facing backlash for trying to push through the niji wall, or airing her frustrations(JP members had similar feelings). they're were lot's of people wish her and others would graduate. the whole Rushia drama, mel's termination. There is a lot of fake fans out there that will attack you to "support " their chosen Oshi. People comment on who calli interacts with all the time. General calling out of people treating Vtubers as product and not human.

There is a stream where Miko and Suisei read a meeting document about why the idea of MiComet as a streaming duo. In very corporate terms it talks about how they could cover for the others weakness, how their humor seems to work together and how they will work to imcrease views of each others channels as well as give a pair to build company streams on. They joke a lot about the dry language used to describe their dynamic. I cannot find the full clip any more, but there are a few clips that give himts of it still. So this topic is completely true. No matter where you go. The talents are products to all the companies.

Yeah Calli is very aware of what she signed up for, and outspoken enough that she absolutely would make a song talking about the exploitative nature of vtuber agencies.

"decide who is special and discard the rest" sounds more to me like a commentary on the power of the talent agencies to decide who gets the golden ticket to fame and who doesnt. We all know that just joining hololive will net you 100k+ subs before you even debut. The company basically dictstes who is "special" by simply deciding who they will pick.
