Their statement as to that they sought feedback from the community was bullshit too, if their intent was that they wanted feedback why send out the NDAs? These people think their customers are stupid. Hi again, DiceQueen xD ( I love the name) Anyways, you know, I never thought I'd read worse press releases than from Activision Blizzard and EA. But here we are, Wotc has done the impossible in the worst possible way, lol.
honestly i don't know why everyone is surprised, like they're a 1 BILLION dollar company it was obvious from the start of this new OGL that they only want money from content creators who really care about D&D and we all know where that's going, the creators will leave and they will lose a huge pool of players to some other company that cares about their game.
They insulted players intelligence with this. Keep unsubscribing. Switch to other systems. Keep the bleeding going. The fight also isn't over. Saying we've won is shilling. The fight isn't over until WotC is laying prone and unconcious at their investor's feet.
Why whine and cry to want to support a game that is long past its prime. D&D is a hunk of clunky, outdated, 49-year-old game mechanics that suck anyway. Armor Class, inflating Hit Points, Saving Throws, only six ability scores, and the swingy D20... are ALL... old, non-sensical game mechanic concepts that stopped being useful many moons ago! Stop mourning a 49-year-old gaming system that died a long time ago! Restoration of the OGL is a waste of time. It's time for everyone to move on from D&D's outdated and contorted game system.
@Mark then you haven't read what they said about you since they're talking about all fans. And you don't really understand how creators are affected by OGL trickles down to players as well. Ignoring the problem or willfully ignorant isn't the way to go
Stop absolving Hasbro from this. It's as much if not more a result of the parent company, Hasbro, pressuring WotC to increase their monetization. WotC is certainly complicit, make sure to mention Hasbro as they've publicly expressed their desire to squeeze more revenue from D&D. This is the result. Lets not omit the power center please.

I don't think it was leaked, I think WotC put those leaks out as feelers to gauge the community reaction. That way if it was horrible then they could play it off and be like nah that was not our intentions, we only had that in discussion to save face.
Their statement was bullshit, the parts where they say their intent was not to co-opt creators IP for their own profit or use....then why have the demand for creators to disclose the profitability of their products in the first place? Their statement as to that they sought feedback from the community was bullshit too, if their intent was that they wanted feedback why send out the NDAs? These people think their customers are stupid. I bet you the wording of their updated OGL will be purposefully deceitful and will probably say that they won't use others IP without permission, forgetting to mention that if you sign or use the New OGL that is is granting permission by default.
Literally the OGL offered nothing to creators and only existed to gut and clean them to make sure they played nice
Hi again, DiceQueen xD ( I love the name) Anyways, you know, I never thought I'd read worse press releases than from Activision Blizzard and EA. But here we are, Wotc has done the impossible in the worst possible way, lol.
Holy crap what an AWFUL statement from WOTC. Long live the ORC.
Basically:
"You didn't win, we won!"
WE won comrade.
Yikes
Do not trust Wizards of the Coast
YESSSSSSS
honestly i don't know why everyone is surprised, like they're a 1 BILLION dollar company it was obvious from the start of this new OGL that they only want money from content creators who really care about D&D and we all know where that's going, the creators will leave and they will lose a huge pool of players to some other company that cares about their game.
multi billion dollar company. like, 6.4 bill in 2021 alone
"We both won" ..... WOTC and Hasbro arrogance and greed has no limits. They are delusional... paizo>wotc #ORC #ORCLicense
9:32 Does "uwuification" mean obnoxious sugar coating? Similar to how a lalafell sultanate pretends he has a soul?
Full boycott unless 1.0a is immortalized
I won. I dommed wotc 😏
Ayyyyyy bottom bitch wotc
@@dicequeenDi yeah you like it down there, wotc
They insulted players intelligence with this.
Keep unsubscribing. Switch to other systems. Keep the bleeding going.
The fight also isn't over. Saying we've won is shilling. The fight isn't over until WotC is laying prone and unconcious at their investor's feet.
I don't think they're going to go out too easy either
There are other TRPGs, bye bye wotc. You lost all trust from me.
YEAH GOOD ON YOU
Why whine and cry to want to support a game that is long past its prime.

Bzzz
At this point with all the whining from the community I hope they go through with it and I hope they make millions. So tired of all the complaining.
Billions*. Every year they make several billions. also, welcome back!
You hope a company that hates their fans and treat them like below dirt, gets more money? No accounting for morals, I suppose. Pitiful.
@@Mystra funny, I've never been treated badly by them.
@@dicequeenDi you misunderstand; I hope they make millions JUST FROM THESE CHANGES. To add to their profits.
@Mark then you haven't read what they said about you since they're talking about all fans. And you don't really understand how creators are affected by OGL trickles down to players as well. Ignoring the problem or willfully ignorant isn't the way to go
Bro take a breath relax
I forgot how to
I can see a lot of people either jumping to a new game engine or make their own trpg engines
I've made a handful = w =
@@dicequeenDi I'm trying to make one
And im going full in excessive
Example I have 5 different magic sub engines so far in my engine
Honestly this is the most backhanded apology I’ve ever see.
I've seen worse but God it's fucking wild
Stop absolving Hasbro from this. It's as much if not more a result of the parent company, Hasbro, pressuring WotC to increase their monetization. WotC is certainly complicit, make sure to mention Hasbro as they've publicly expressed their desire to squeeze more revenue from D&D. This is the result. Lets not omit the power center please.
Tbh theyre both just conflated as the same in my heart. Hasbro, wotc, dnd. All the same shits in the same seat of power
