How can you make a video like this and leave out the worst hire in CFB history: Ellis Johnson He litearlly inherited a Larry Fedora-coached 12-2 T20 Ranked CUSA Champion Southern Miss and went 0-12 in his first year and got fired. The worst 1 year turn around in CFB history. No other team has ever gone from 12 wins to 12 losses in one season. Thanks Ellis Johnson.

Enjoyed the video but you missed some doozies - Ellis Johnson at Southern Miss (12-1 to 0-12, ended Southern Miss 18 year bowl streak) - Scottie Montgomery at East Carolina (comboed with Ruffin McNeil being one of the worst firings ever) - Tyson Summers at Georgia Southern (Pissed all over GaSo tradition and cratered the team) - Jimmy Lake at Washington (only redeeming is he got himself fired super fast and we hit a homerun with DeBoer)

Ironically, O’Leary and Price would go on to be quite successful at their next programs.

the mike price thing never made sense, he went to a strip club? i never got why that was a big deal? a hooker in his hotel room was never part of the story back then. the story back then was he went to a strip club, or we went to a strip club with bama players. unless the players were under age it shouldnt be a big deal as coaches and players go to strip clubs all the time since the invention of strip clubs and only this one time did someone make a big deal of it.

Rich Rod was handcuffed a bit at Michigan from what I have heard. He wanted more control but the AD refused. Hence the team being so abysmal at times.

Just have to mention, as a side note, regarding AD Jeff Long. He was Arkansas’ AD when Petrino wrecked his motorcycle. He fired Petrino citing “integrity” among other things. So to see him lose his job at Kansas due to Miles’ misconduct and lack of “integrity” is hilarious.

As a Slippery Rock alum, we were under the impression the conference would have continued in the NAIA if the NCAA didn't permit all of the states schools be admitted as a single conference. This happened in the late 70s or early 80s. I remember when the state schools changed their names from "state college" to "University of Pennsylvania."

I think a better title would be "most disappointing hires." Sometimes, a good coach just doesn't work in a specific place That doesn't make it a bad hire. The worst coaches to me are the ones who shouldn't have been hired then proved why they shouldn't have been hired.

Joe Moorhead. Mullen would've had Mississippi State in contention to win 10 games at least in 2018. Moorhead took a program from the top 15 team to a losing season in less than two full years, ran a toxic locker room, an academic scandal, and he alienated fans at every opportunity he got.

The biggest part of the Les Miles at Kansas was that he paid 50k of hush money to a player who was selling drugs and had a altercation about drugs. Just insane from Kansas.

I went to Penn and I worked for the football team 2015-16. One of the seasons, we had a Rose Bowl logo in the end zone to commemorate that time they went to the Rose Bowl 100 years before. It’s only on lists like this that I get to hear about my alma mater. But one of the kids on that team got drafted, and what better roll of the die could a kid from an FCS school get than to be drafted by the Tom Brady Bucs and then end up with the Patrick Mahomes Chiefs? Justin Watson was awesome in college in front of 5k in attendance at best but now has multiple Super Bowl rings and I think that’s awesome. Also, they still have statues of the guys on this list and still roll out the original Heisman trophy for every home game.
