New Series: 8 Minute Hikes (Abrams Falls)
I'm starting a new series called 8-minute hikes where I edit the entire length of the video to only 8 minutes to make it more viewer friendly. The first hike in the series is Abrams Falls which is located within Cades Cove Loop in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP). Getting there can be a challenge depending on the traffic and congestion. The trail is 5 miles round-trip and takes approximately 2.5 to 3.0 hours depending on your pace. The trail travels besides the river for the most part, and you will cross over 4 log bridges along the way. The waterfall is beautiful, but can be very dangerous due to the rapids so be careful. I hope you enjoyed the video and the new shorter fo...

The loop is 5.5 miles and takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. Along the way there are lots of stone foundations and chimneys from cabins that used to be there. The David Chapman cabin has been refurbished and is open to the public for d...
