I've been thinking about telling stories about historical places in the Smokies while I hike them. I might add this one to the list when I start. Thanks for the suggestion. 🙂

I think I hiked up there camping at Elkmont before it burned down. If i remember right it was in pretty bad shape.
I believe it was condemned for years and was in bad shape before it burned down. At least that is what I have been told.
