😂.... im a blue collar guy.... 41.... port engineer, railroad industry, logistics etc are the areas. My tattooes are your basic forearms, bicep and legs. Ive got this 22 yo co worker.... no formal education. Recieved on the job training etc. He's been with the company about 2yrs and we're in southern California which overall is a bit more progressive about tattoes. This guy had a few little tats here and there but he goes and gets the entire front of his neck blasted 😅. Like dude..... he doesn't know what direction life will take him. People get fired, resigned, and he's sub contracted for 3yrs. So, its a possibility he may or may not be around next contract

I did tattoos more similar to scratcher tattoos as a teenager when stupider(single use tattoo needle and real tattoo ink so not as bad as some using needles and pen ink at home but definitly not clean sterile conditions on my bed and using a pencil and tape to hold the needle, no gloves, no barriers, nothing. But them holding up and me doing good solid lines and enjoying the process made me get even more interested in doing it properly and now i have a real machine and cartridges and just do it on fake akin for now and i do olan on doing a few on myself once i find somewhere to apprentice. I want my first professional tattoos on skin to stay with me forever.

In 4 sessions [7 hours] purely on my fingertips, doesn't just feel like someone's tattooing your bone but it feels like someone has a tiny buzzsaw and is going through the bone very slowly. Best way i can explain the pain, this is coming from someone who had 5 exposed nervs for 7 months as well im amazing with pain.

I got a wolf tattoo a year ago & had no issues then just over 2 months ago i went back to the same tattooist & got the wolf coloured added pine trees & put some bats passing over an existing moon, The weird thing is it healed well then about a month later only the pine trees & bats passing the moon raised up and got itchy... p.s no red ink... I went to see my tattooist who was as confused as me as he said he had put the same ink in all parts of my tattoo... It was itchy so i went to see my doctor who said it was a reaction to the ink & just looked confused when i explained explained the same ink had been put in all areas of the tattoo... The doctor said there is nothing i could do & said it probably would be permanent. The itching has gone away but those parts are still raised 2mths & 10 days later...

Is it true that some people’s skin is just really bad for tattoos? I have very pale, freckly, Irish skin. Think: Conan o’Brian pale and freckly. My skin is also incredibly STRONG. For instance, when I was 18 and had my belly button professionally pierced, the VERY big and strong piercer (built like a linebacker) could NOT get the needle through my “bulletproof” skin. After completely working up a sweat, and only making it halfway through, he took a break before coming back in and leveraging his body on the table to get it the rest of the way through. Also, even though I’ve had many pregnancies and plenty of ups and downs with weight, zero stretch marks. My skin is just really tough. I only have two tattoos, and neither of them are great. But I think that my skin was actually hard for them to work with. What do you think? Is some skin just harder to tattoo than others?

I went through the scabbing stage ok but noticed that when I was washing in the morning and evening and moisturising the tattoo started to dry out really quick and now when I wash and moisturise the tattoo feels tight and uncomfortable and sore. It’s not red but not sure what to do now x

  • @onewheelisbetterthan2

I want knuckle tattoo if it fades it fades. I just want my hand to say "unicycle" nothing complicated and im not a picky fuck. My gf has finger tattoos and some fade more than others. She goes in to get touch ups while she gets tattoos so it works well for her. Im stoked. I know its going to hurt but thats part of it. Also i have suspicion that some people dont take ink as well as others because ive had a lot of work done over the years and ive never gone in for a touch up anywhere. I feel as they age they tell the timeline of your story and the more new they look the more recent the story is and someone could read your body like a timeline. Idk everyones different but A LOT OF PEOPLE GET THE SAME LAME ASS TATTOOS HAHAHA. dont be that person.

I see a lot of hate from tattoo fans toward businesses who have tattoo policies in place. That hate misplaced. Example: lets just say that 95% of Americans prefer blue, red, black, or white cars, and 5% of Americans prefer Yellow cars. If you were a dealer and only offered yellow cars, customers are not going to shop with you, but rather, they will shop where they can get the color car they like. This is a preference. There's not a thing wrong with having a preference, but the dealerships that don't offer the yellow cars are missing out on 5% of the possible sales and the dealerships that ONLY offer yellow cars will miss out on 95% of the potential sales. Businesses are created to make profits. It's their job (if they are going to maximize their success) to give the masses what they want. Are there niche businesses? Absolutely! and those businesses exist to serve niche customers and markets, and are thus only bound to satisfying the demands of their unique clientele. Businesses like this are where you can find people working who don't fit as easily into the mainstream. If you go looking for posts where people with face/neck/hand tattoos are complaining no one will hire them, if you read the comments you'll quickly discover that the vast major of the public find face/neck and occasionally hand tattoos (depending on what they are of) off putting. Personally, if they are tasteful, no biggie. But there are very few people who want the customer service person they are working with to have demons or pentagrams and other horrific imagery tattooed on their face. I hear everything from "you're trying to control people's artistic expression", to "you're a hater" and everything in between from people who are overly sensitive about people who aren't extreme tattoo fans. That is their right, just like it's my right to decide what I like an don't like. Horrific imagery tattooed on a person's face is without question a career limiting choice. But it's not the business who won't hire's fault, it's the opinions/likes and dislikes of the social majority that drive businesses making those policies and hiring decisions. So if you hate the businesses that make these decisions, who you are actually hating is the majority of the people on earth. That's the beauty of tattoos in places other than the face/neck/hands. You can cover those in a work environment and nobody is the wiser. What you look like on your own time shouldn't be relevant to an employer, but how you look when you are representing their brand is most definitely impacting the level of success or failure of their business and they are trying to appeal to the largest customer base possible unless it's a niche business.
