Good to know. I've been wanting to get my first tattoo for some time, now I know what to expect.
Glad I could help. Now go get that tattoo! lol
@@randomherotattoo hahaha long time coming bud. I designed it in my early 20’s. I’m in my 40’s now! Lmao!
Great info - will tell my daughter & father in law who have tatts.
I was afraid I over moisturized my new tattoo because I was using aquaphor after cleaning it for the first couple of days. I didn’t take a full submerged shower for the first like 2-3 days and the tattoo started shedding in the shower. I didn’t do anything but dry it, put more aquaphor and keep washing 3 times a day and used lotion after that. I was terrified I ruined it because it never scabbed. Here I am 2 weeks later and it is starting to raise up like it’s going to scab. I really hope it’s okay. It was only itchy and red for the first 3-5 days and then it was fine. I wasn’t worried until I heard about “over moisturizing.” I’ve had plenty of tattoos but this is the first time I’ve used aquaphor at the recommendation of my cousin who uses it religiously. Having a tattoo barely peel and not scab is kind of wild to me. I really hope it’s okay, but ngl the not scabbing part is rad because I’m a picker. 🤷🏻♀️
How’s it looking now?
My biggest warning to all my clients is to follow MY instructions and don’t listen to their brother’s friend’s Uncle that has A tattoo and used you cream made from a rare type of bamboo only found on the western side of a mountain in the Himalayas.
@@randomherotattoo it honestly looks flawless. I feel like I got really lucky.
I just got part 1 of my 7th tattoo. I have never wet healed and my pieces healed great. No issues. I thought about trying wet healing this time but I'm afraid changing what my skin likes will cause problems. Maybe when I get another small one I'll give it a try.
I wouldn’t. Again wet and dry healing should be used for special circumstances. Especially if healing traditional works just fine for you.
