    so I have been using this and I don't recommend this brand (70mai subs of Xiaomi). The reason: the right to fix: if you buy the internal sensors : no way to replace the internal battery (external sensor can be opened). on top of that: no way to replace the rechargeable LiPo 500mA display battery. If you live in a hot country the sun will cook the display till the battery will swell and then the whole device is dead. no display , wont power even with USB cable. Be sure to buy solar TPMS that has standard screws and can be replaced with a generic battery. its way more important than a 2 psi mismatch in reading... the 2nd issue is spare sensors supply. don't buy from a brand that doesn't sell single sensors as backup. sensor can be damaged by brutal people. anyhow: 70mai tpms is discontinued on 2022 so stay away from them . no future support.

    Good product. I have been using this internal type 70mai for 2 yrs and it work fine. One of the most useful accessories you can buy that could save you from the high cost of tyre damage. It would be really stupid to not buy a tpms considering the prace of mind it offers and not having to kick your tyres to check their pressure before every trip😊

      Hi there, I would say why not? Alot of ppl I know dont use the options that they bought the car with, so if you can save abit then why not Go & try a car with options and see how you feel about it. If you are indifferent, then get the entry level and save the money for road trips 👍🏼

    No worries.. if a dude can afford to buy a porsche new or used he can managed the bills that came afterwards 😂😂😂😂😂😂 and that rusty going to eat the metal in a couple of years..but before then just prepared a load of cash so when the times come you had the money standing by😂😂😂😂

    • @ThePorscheLover
      @ThePorscheLover 4 месяца назад

      As I mentioned in the video, there isn't a need to disassemble the exhaust system part by part On the off chance we need to remove the exhaust, it is usually a complete disassembly of the exhaust system It's just surface rust, it will not 'eat' the metal in a few years. My 997.2 is already 15 years old & the rust hasn't made any holes yet 👌🏼

    • @ThePorscheLover
      @ThePorscheLover 5 месяцев назад

      Bore scoring is possible on any cars due to - low quality engine oil - prolonged service intervals - revving engine hard before it's full warmed up

    Thanks for the video and great work. I have a 2019 718 Boxster S and thinking of doing this soon even I'm still under 40K miles. QUESTION: So you only changed the filter in the oil pan and not the whole oil pan? Is that correct? How do you do that? Isn't it potentially dangerous? Has anybody had issues doing it that way? Also, have you ever replaced the plastic oil pan with a reusable Metal one, just replace the filter type? Some people have told me this is not a good idea. I've seem some plastic oil pans online from $50 to $500, any thoughts on the quality of any of the cheaper ones? What type of trans oil do you recommend, just Pentosin, or do you think Liqui Moly or Motul are better? Have you heard of their being a rear wheel alignment required after doing the trans service? Finally, what do you think about Liqui Moly products like the engine oil, or the Ceratec or the Pro Line Engine Flush, or any other products you can think of? Thanks a million and keep up the great work.

    • @ThePorscheLover
      @ThePorscheLover 7 месяцев назад

      Wow, that's quite a few questions there. Let me break it down 1. the filter is built into the pan, so we replace the pan 2. No it's not dangerous 3. That's the way to do it 4. We replace it with an original Porsche part only 5. No we only use original, so no comments on aftermarket parts 6. We use original Porsche oil only 7. No, you dont need a rear wheel alignment for PDK oil change 8. we have never used Liqui Moly or Pro Line products, so we cant comment Thanks for watching!

    Hi there, how has your 987.1 S been? I'm looking at a 08 cayman s myself, but have heard stories about bore scoring and I'm getting kinda cold feet on whether or not I should make the purchase. How has your ownership experience been wth the 987.1 S?

    • @ThePorscheLover
      @ThePorscheLover 9 месяцев назад

      Ive actually sold my 987.1 but in general if you ask the 987 community in Malaysia, it is almost unheard of that a 987 has had bore scoring Hope that answers your question 👍🏼

    Conceptually torque convertor box: - actually has more than two clutches...how many depends on the design of the box - has all the gears always meshed/engaged. It is the action of the clutches that creates the gear ratio effect - has planetary gear sets that are meshed at more than one tooth. So it's very strong - is actually two transmissions in series. The torque convertor is in reality an infinite ratio 'gearbox'/transmission. Infinite is a very big number of gears :). The trade off for infinite ratios is transmission efficiency due to fluid flow induced losses, which is why we have torque convertor lock-up, and more to the point, why we even bother with metal fixed ratio gears. Driving techniques used in a manual box translate to the slush box. Yes you can select and hold a gear setting up for a corner. Yes you can blip the throttle to rev match. Yes you can upshift to limit rear wheel torque. There is no real need to treat a torque convertor automatic as an automatic...as brilliant as some of the new torque convertor automatics are today...they cannot see down the road and read the vext series of apexes and road undulations and pavement conditions... Humans cannot feel speed. We feel acceleration. We are even more sensitive to changes in acceleration, technical term 'jerk'. Jerk is the visceral 'kick in the back' that sells manuals and muscle cars, and PDK. People perceived jerk as fast/power. However jerk is also the best way to break your tyre contact patch with the road...so if you want maximum longitudinal acceleration (acceleration/braking) or maximum lateral acceleration ('cornering'), and maximum car control (with the exception of drift or rally environments or maybe a hairpin turn where you want to create high rates of chassis rotation), you want to eliminate jerk. You want the ride to feel...boring. Interestingly many new higher end cars (BMW, Alfa) are moving away from PDKs back to torque convertors, for the reasons above. Even Koenigsegg has a hypercar were, I understand, they have done away with fixed ratio metal gears and run with just a giant torque convertor plus an electric hybrid to augment the ICE's bottom end torque delive...As noted before, infite ratio...is a lot of 'gears'.
