Enjoyed watching your video. You obviously have outstanding RC piloting skills. I've got the AeroScout but have never had her on floats. I do, however, have floats for my UMX Timber EVO and have a blast flying her off of the snow here in North Central PA. PS. I fly most every morning only having to step outside my house. Last week I flew with the temp at -6F. My record low is -11F which was several years ago. With little or no wind, it is no big deal... pre-flight in the "heated " (50-60F) garage, step outside, fly and back into the garage.

Great review and flight Michael. That is the most popular plane at our club, we have a dozen members out of 30 that have them and most are the older experienced members that make them tail draggers and several have ordered custom stripe kits from Callie graphics. I don't get along well with the sound and my hearing aids but I have flown them and they are a great fun plane.

Wow! I've never seen someone get so much performance out of an AeroScout! Are you still using the stock 5" prop? It can fit a 6" but you need to source a left hand nut.

I 3d printer skis for my aeroscout. The floats get trashed from the snow and ice.

You, Sir, fly pretty good! I suggest the AeroScout as the first plane for my student pilots but most resist because they say it's ugly. OK, says I. It's their money.

I’ve actually bought the turbo timber sws and now the super timber after watching your videos. Hopefully someday I can master controlling the aircraft as you do. Thanks for the great content. Waiting on my first battery pack to show up in the mail along with the super timber so I can maiden them both. I’m using the radio master tx16s and I’ve only flown a horizon hobby carbon cub and lost it on the 3rd flight. Wish me luck!

I have one set up just like this, and we have a pond nearby that doesn't freeze over so I flew it about a week and a half ago, but boy with the water splashing in the cold air while Taxi and Landing, does it ever start iceing up in a hurry. 🥶 We have several other ponds and reservoirs that have frozen over and since we don't have any snow for some reason here in Northern Utah, the ice is very smooth. So I've been flying my Turbo Timber evolution 1.5m and air tractor 1.5m on the ice with regular landing gear, talk about nice big wide open Runways, it's great. ok, I definitely need to move the linkages to the inner holes. I thought it was fun to fly already with the current deflection, but oh man that roll at the end. Sweet.

Great idea! You spared 40-60 grams ...maybe . It's not little stuff on 1,1 m model . Bigger prop provides much thrust and air to the mobile surfaces. But , what is the C rate of that lipo 3s 2200? If I keep that descharge for so much time you can see the plane becoming a glow ....because of the smoke 😅

How has it held up after a year? Will it last if taken care of

You just can't beat flying at the beach on Lake Michigan! I feel lucky to be in West Michigan where we have spots like this. I don't think I've ever heard a bad thing about the UMX Conscendo!

Would fly more "Cub-Like" if you flew it on 4S, as it needs to drop some weight for it's size. Cool video.

I absolutely love this little gem. I fly it often and tried it with 4s a couple of times. It really scoots. I only do short bursts of full throttle. Nice video as always.

I have one of these UMX Ultra Slow Stick airplanes, but haven't flown it yet. My Parkinsonism is getting worse, but I hope to make it to the local indoor flying place and try it out. Being a UMX slow flyer, it might help me be able to fly RC one more year.

If I don't figure out that rolling circle on my own, I'm coming back. for advice. Super SWEET!!!
