  • The Phoenix Model 67” Slick is an amazing performer using the very popular 6s 5000mah lipo pack. It’s capable of unlimited vertical using the recommended Spektrum Avian 5065-450 motor which is a direct bolt on with no modifications needed.

    The winter sky backdrop to this Slick flight added to this video. Good to see you do some 3D flights.

    Great flying Mike! Looks like a fun plane. I just did a Christen Eagle using the Avian power system...strong. Really strong. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

      Thanks Adam! I’ve been looking at the Christen Eagle, are we going to see a review? I’m also thinking of getting the EF 67” Laser when it becomes available in late February as the 67” sized planes seem to fit me best.

    Awesome -as always- Michael! A good video for going to sleep and dream what I would like to do with my planes xD What looked really was coming down in like harrier pretty quick for the next aerobatic :) The torque roll and going up was also very smooth and cool :D

    That's a very pretty plane, 🎉Mike. You fly it very well too. Would love to see what you could do with a EF 67" 😊

      It’s quite a capable flyer. I’m getting more comfortable with it the more I fly it.

    That was great to see...on a couple of levels. First, as always, your piloting is top notch. Second, it was nice to see I'm not absolutely crazy for how a setup a 60" Extreme Slick 540. I bought the airframe used...then installed donor parts from a Draco I had crashed. I used the Draco motor, ESC and RX (AR637TA that I unlocked) and put some nice ProModeler servos in it. I usually see these types of planes with fancy 10 & 12 channel receivers, long with separate Rx batteries. So, I was thinking I was taking a real shortcut with the Spektrum AR637T receiver and only using the BEC off the ESC...maybe not?🤔

      I would have no issue flying your EF Slick with how you have it set up. That is great use of repurposed electronics. I’m thinking of using the electronics from a recently departed Commander in a EF 48” Edge. Well done!

      No, I actually added a little more to the rudder after I landed. I just managed a better entry to hover the second time.

      i understand and thanks,, and how do you like the Slick compared to the Dirty Birdy pattern for example?@@michaelclinerc3211

      @michaelclinerc3211  7 месяцев назад

      The Slick does fly very precisely is precision flying is what you are looking to do. I haven’t flown a Dirty Birdy since the 70’s so I’m not sure how the two would compare. But that said I do prefer precision aerobatics over 3D flying and I thought the Slick did well.@@jannovak2234
