FPV Quad Camera Angles - Fix your angle fix your flying!!
In this video I talk all about FPV Drone Racing Camera angles, if you're using your stock camera mount, this video is for you.
A camera angle is way more important than you think, for both racing and freestyle, in this video I explain why a couple degrees difference causes a drastic shift in how your quad feels and flies.

For anyone on the Wind 5 Lite frame, here's a STL for a fixed angle mount -

Going for my 1st fpv build …. I am confused between the two- tmotor velox V3 1750kv and Emax ECO II2207 1900 kv …. Could you suggest your pick? (I kbow 6s is recommended but I am planning to start with 4s and then gradually shift to 6s after I have enough confidence) . Kindly suggest your pick amongst these two

As a fan of various races since the very end of the 90s and more recently - racing in FPV simulators, I would also like to add my word. Adrenaline is a controversial companion to any training(except muscles =). Under the influence of adrenaline, the body and brain begin to work reflexively in survival mode. At this time, there is no way to consciously correct your actions; the body will reflexively repeat the same mistake, which can increase nervous tension. The only positive point is that under the pressure of adrenaline we push ourselves and are able to squeeze out some random success, but we will not be able to repeat it right away. Surprisingly, this is how we behave when we try to advance even tenths of a second and fail. I noticed that when I returned to the same race in an absolutely calm state, without trying to “compress time,” I was able to shave off not only tenths but entire seconds from my lap time, due to the fact that I found myself simply calmly observing what I do and make relatively large edits to it. So, don't try to do everything perfectly at once, try the opposite, take very small steps, and you will be surprised how the speed of your progress has increased. At the end of the day, we don't race to feel empty after breaking a record that's been standing for a long time. We race for the process itself, for the pleasure of the process. The second tip is related to this. Start finding random little time to train in the simulator whenever you would normally do it. For example, by getting up an hour earlier than usual, you can fly in a surprisingly calm and clean state. Or... right after coming from a party. Yes, in this state you will not succeed much, but without trying to surpass yourself, you will nevertheless get a small but very useful practice of focusing, regardless of the circumstances.

Great video. I would add if you love racing it shouldn't matter to you that much if your first or last you race for the fun and experience and for the excitement. You might be one of the best at it but when it came your turn you crash out. Thats racing.

From a racing point of view I'm more in favour of matching camera angle to the full throttle balance point pitch and adjusting my turn combo of roll & yaw. That way the drone goes accurately where I aim it and doesn't float or sink at full speed. The geometry of how roll and yaw change as the drone tilts forward is not intuitive. Roll does gradually tend towards Yaw. But Yaw tends toward Inverse Roll. I fly often in the DRL sim at 55 degrees+ and fly in a High Angle mode with Roll and Yaw swapped, and Yaw inverted to compensate. ruclips.net/video/ICHlw2VCOtI/видео.html

How many milliseconds are physically between CRSF 150hz and Tracer End-to-End? there are lot of different statements. MrSteele says 3 vs 12 ms (150hz) (which is 9ms difference), some other say 4 vs. 6.8 ms (which is only 2.8 ms difference), 3rd say it is 7 vs 11 ms (4 ms difference). So what is the real Delta between these, or are there differences between transmitters, too so that the additional transmitter latency is lower too what results into more than 2.8 ms Delta?

I am starting to believe that the difference between a high priced motor and a low priced motor is so small that only the best pilots will be able to tell a difference. Racing pilots will probably be the ones that can tell the difference because as you said, every gram counts, every little advantage you can get helps. For most freestyle pilots I don't think most will be able to tell a difference. For freestyle flying, durability is probably the main concern because they crash a lot. I had a 2306 2400kv motor to start out with on my 5" freestyle quad. I replaced those motors with a 2207 2550kv motor and I think I can tell a difference but probably not. I wanted a higher KV for a little more speed and a little more power because my quad was so heavy. I wish EMAX would offer a wider variety of KV options for their 5" motors. Not just a KV for 4s and a KV for 6s, but maybe a 2400kv and 2600kv. I do have Emax eco 2 motors on my 7" build in 2807 1500kv size and nothing about that quad feels cheap or lacking to me. That quad flies very smooth and has a lot of power when I need it.

Great video, well done and I love this format -- I wonder if lap time tracking could also be relevant (sometimes what 'feels' nicer and faster actually isn't!)? .. or there's just too much variability in times to find a difference without dozens of laps.. also you're going to be faster in later runs unless it's a very familiar track

One thing I don't understand is that the sticks seem to be pointed the opposite way from where you are headed. For example at 3:25, the quad is moving to the left but the yaw and roll are both pointed to the right. How is the quad being propelled to the left if it is rolling to the right and yawing to the right?
