I believe the heirloom technique you are referring to is called “entredeaux.” Look forward to that pattern being released. It looks like a fun knit.

Beth, I am quite a bit older than you, and I taught Business for 44 years & my husband taught industrial arts. Our son is an astrophysicist--we have NO idea how that happened! He got his Ph.D. after a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. So, he is sure I have no idea what he does--and he's right! I love your summer sweater. I may try it because I live on the east coast, a couple hours from the beach, and we love the waves! I also agree that heel flap and gusset work best for me as a heel--though I haven't done another kind very often. It just seems like they will last longer, be more sturdy. And, finally, when I see your vest, what came into my mind right away was Scooped Frosting Vest. I have one of your patterns, though I haven't made it yet. Maybe this one . . . Thank you for the podcast. I always look forward to them. Luna is a sweetheart--we have three border collies. Enjoy New York!

This was my first time watching your podcast. Really enjoyed seeing your vests and the beautiful scenery. However, I was surprised to see your dog because she is a twin to our dog, Brownie. We got him as a rescue and have always been curious what his breed is. Do you know what breed Luna is? Wish I could attach a picture to show how identical he looks. 😊❤
