Thanks for the stash talk, I have wanted to add my stash to Ravelry but have been daunted by the task. But after hearing how useful it is I think I will just start with my most recent purchases and go from there. Thanks. Thank you Beth for all of this! The sound was perfect to! Love your new design, and I think Linen Quill is an under appreciated yarn! Your yarn choices, colours were stunning! It was so remarkable to see how the colours played with your skin tone as you held them up. They really gave warmth and light to your skin. You have a strong eye for what suits you. Personally I dont think you need to share your stash on Ravelry. Its not our buisness, nor is the amount of yarn you buy. I loved seeing what you purchased....all beautiful. Hi Beth, really enjoyed this! LOVED the rain and thunder throughout... my fave. Your new pattern, Starry Starry Night, is so pretty! Just faved it - it would be so elegant to add a Laceweight metallic or sparkle thread with the colourwork, to make it super festive, or even use Stellina for the motif... so many fun options. Your stash documenting is exactly what I do - I love entering in my Rav stash page when we are on holidays... I too enjoy the process of taking a pic (on the hotel bed or whatever) and then adding, so it's all tidy for when we get home. I also store my stash in the Ravelry order, in my wall of yarn, so Laceweight to the left going to Super Bulky on the right... so if I see it in context on the Rav display, then I sort of know where to find it in the wall. Yes so many sorting and mix and matching opportunities when it's all in front of me on Ravelry - I also love to add a tag on the yarn page with any pattern name that I'm plotting for, when I have multiple thoughts of yarn I want to use for a pattern - so for instance I entered "deepdene" on some yarns in my stash and then I search that word on the stash page and only the yarns I picked show up - so cool for narrowing it down, also fun for gathering a bunch of colours together for colourwork options... Lots of nerdy fun! Anyway, have a lovely weekend! Cheers, Judith 💜

Judith - you and I must be long lost sisters or something! That’s exactly how I approach ALL my possible future projects and stash. It’s so satisfying to see all the options isn’t it? From one organizational nerd to another, thank you! ❤️😂❤️😂❤️

Hi Beth! I have yet to knit one of your beautiful designs and really have been wanting to cast on the Scandi Suri. However, I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the Starry Night, so I have a decision to make LOL! Anyway, I wanted to comment and say thank you for speaking in such detail about the pattern and your intentions on the fit. I am a size 18/20 w 48" bust. I have always had this shape in mind. I appreciate, even on me, your putting more fitted sleeves with a slight a-line. I think that is such a flattering silhouette and would accentuate many of us, whether large or petite in size. Thank you and I look forward to casting this on soon! I have plenty of Linen Quill in stash so YAY! Have a blessed day!

Hello again Beth and Greetings from cold and wet Laval Québec.
We had our first snow on Monday and now there's no turning back. The tires are changed and we're ready...bring it on!
Thank you again for your podcast...personally for me, there is no such thing as a too long podcast. Especially when I'm sitting and knitting as I'm spending time with you.
I was tickled pink to hear your story about your Rhinebeck experience..that's me living vicariously. I'm not a fan of crowds either, so I get you and kudos for going forward with the experience!
Kelly and Noëlle did mention during their Knit Chat Café on Tuesday evening that it was uncanny, the way you kept bumping into each other all the time. I also got to see your interview with Noëlle (wearing your Somerset Sweater) and it was a treat.
Don't worry about being a "sweaty Betty" (what a fun expression!) We're amongst friends....and mostly sweaty Betty friends, if I take a wild guess at the demographics.
Your "Tank rain" reference made me smile. My best friend lives in a rural area and they use the same system, mostly for filling the pool and watering the garden.
The rain made a lovely background soundtrack. I find it always so soothing, it often puts me right to sleep.
Please forgive me for taking a peek at you stash...it's a bit like mine actually. I systematically register everything I acquire as soon as I get home (and I too sometimes do it in my hotel room) and document everything, down to which bin I put it in. I saw two moths in the house this summer and it totally freaked me out. So I cooked everything in the sun out on the balcony and then put everything away in transparent storage bins. So now my craft room looks more like a storage locker but my precious, precious, precious yarn is safe and all accounted for (all 659 entries of it!).
I'm so glad and thankful you decided to share some of your "tranches de vie" with us out there in the knittingverse. It's very much appreciated.
Looking forward to hearing from you again next month,
    Your tricopine,
    Isabelle
PS: Got myself some Artyarns Beaded silk & sequins in Light Pink and I intend to include a little bit of it in my future Somerset Sweater. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like!

BTW, do you know the Ditchburn Boat company? Mr. Ditchburn was my paternal Grandmother's uncle (I cant figure out what he'd be to me other than a distant relation) and it was at his family house that she would spend the summers enjoying the Muskokas. We took my Grandmother a few years ago to visit the museum in Gravenhurst and she LOVED it! Brought back so many memories. Small world...

Hi and welcome to the club! It’s definitely overwhelming at first but oh so manageable. I’ve been GF since my early 20s so have taught myself what to order and how when at a restaurant. I have a good idea on how things are made and so try to stick with basic food ie simply cooked meat, veg etc. many restaurants offer GF pasta or pizza (if they specialize in Italian/American cuisine) so look for that on the many or ask. It’s a lot easier now then when I started. That said I do always have bars in my handbag and more in my suitcase for backup. Good luck and happy traveling!❤️
