Hmm, that sounds about right. I wonder how close it is to the actual measured climb rate. Suppose it depends how well the propeller is gripping the air. I’d suspect it becomes more accurate at higher airspeed over the prop blade.

For reference, my Nazgul ECO with "Nazgul F5 propellers" carrying a 1550mAh LiPo climbed from sea level to 1700m (which was allowed at that location) in 45 seconds. That is 136 kph vertical speed, which seems quite extreme for an off-the-shelf drone. I would be curious to see what the max altitude, with a reasonable battery size, would be, but that is a bit harder to test... within the law.

@thecrazybird as far as speed that’s not completely unbelievable, but pretty incredible out of the box! Did the battery survive? These tests were absolute murder on my batteries 🤣

@@propabilityfpv With GPS I measured 160kph horizontal repeatedly (a thrill 1m above a field), so even a "cheap" bind and fly can be very performant now. In the 1700m up followed by inverted speeding 1700m down test, it had used all its flight time on that run, and did need to land afterwards, but battery is still fine.

In this video I think the airflow must have been enough through the fuselage. But I’ve since had to mount my O3’s with the dji logo side exposed to the open air. It’s the only way I’ve had reliable success without overheating!

Sure thing! I use Actual Rates in Betaflight: Center Sensitivity (All Axes): 150 Max Rate (All Axes): 800 Expo (All Axes): .50 Throttle Expo: .35 Frame is my own custom design, this was me testing how it performs and holds up in crashes!
