Thanks! I take great pride in my smooth flying! Settings: 4k60fps, shutter 1/120 or slower, ND filters depending on light, lowest ISO I can get away with (100-400ish), normal color, no stabilization bc it messes with the footage and crops it, ultra wide angle. Cam angle is about 25 degrees!

My friend has it and loves it! Not good for this type of flying (freestyle), but great for longer range cruising, like over mountains or something

Just build your own with a caddx moonlight it's much better than dji und cheaper

@@blueflame2532 caddx moonlight has better camera quality 4k and lipos last longer because the quaf is lighter. It's easy to build just watch tutorials and buy a soldering iron it's easy

As far as a drone to get?

@@propabilityfpv which ever one you think is best for a beginner, I was looking at the DJI but most of them are pretty expensive. But some are as much as $200

I got the DJI mini 4 pro fly more combo, which can be used with goggles to but is not meant to be a fast stunt drone but the DJI avata 2 would be more of what you could expect if this is the type of flying you want. I paid $1200 comes with 3 batteries charging dock for all 3 and RC2 w screen

If you don’t have a flight controller, you could do it that way yes- but you won’t get full output power from it. The O3 only outputs full power when it’s connected to a flight controller (I don’t think that has changed as far as I know). But if you don’t have or don’t want a flight controller, you can definitely rig up a lipo connector at the end of the O3 power and ground wires (red and black). That should work just fine for close-ish range but you won’t get much in the way of OSD.

Hmm, fitting a FC in there might be difficult. Not impossible, just difficult haha you'll have to cut some foam away most likely to make room. But this could be a much bigger project than first thought, here's an overview of what you'll need: Firstly, if you have the standard PWM receiver that came with the aeroscout, it won't work. You'd have to get a new PWM receiver WITH a serial output, and obviously make sure it works with your radio. That then connects to an FC, and can enable full O3 power when its armed. FC's communicate with a receiver, which communicates with your transmitter. Unfortunately there's not an easy way to plug a standard PWM receiver into an FC and have it work, at least not that I'm aware of. Its gotta be over serial. Just watched a video. Apparently keeping fingers on the sticks is best for cinematic flying for shoot footage while choppy footage taking hands on and off but sometimes keeping the fingers on the stick is better for the choppy nature of freestyle flying. Pls correct me if I am wrong?

Nice flying, that's not bad at all dude! Just keep practicing and you'll start seeing more improvement! I think the most important thing for smoother flying is to just get used to the movement of the quad. At some point you'll start to feel almost connected to it, and you'll no longer have to think about how to move a certain way- you'll just do it. That's when a lot more possibilities as a pilot open up!

Wow, 5 1/2 with an air 3? That’s incredible range! Farthest I’ve ever gone was 5, then got sketched out haha. I’ll just say that the consumer products like an air 3 instill a lot more confidence than anything homebuilt! Nothing sketchier than taking something you built out that far, better have ultimate confidence in your building and testing skills 😂

The range is pretty good on these, it’s not far enough to be much of a concern!

Thanks for the comment, this does help provide some insight! In my own testing, the Apex has indeed been excellent with resonance, even rivaling the AOS frames I've tried. My problem is more with the alignment and assembly process though, not the hole size. Tight screw holes are fine, but IRC needs to ensure that the alignment is still fine when they tighten up a hole tolerance. Besides my complaints with fit and assembly though, this frame has proven to be pretty solid. Its durable, has excellent resonance characteristics, and has a relatively large build area which aids in repairs.

@@propabilityfpv most of the Impulse frames are like this which is by design. It always helps to not tighten anything down until the last possible minute. I agree it’s a great frame and I have ordered the parts to make my OG Apex into a Evo. The Reverb was my fav frame until the Apex arrived and before that it was the Alien which set a standard that has been copied so many times in this hobby. I’ve heard good things about the AOS frames but yet to try one
