I can do this (trippy spins) in the sim all day… but in real life I fall too low. I agree that it gets expensive real quick and I’m glad someone is talking about that side of fpv.
Wouldn't have been as bad if I could find a taller light pole or something that's on grass! Oh well, hopefully next time! Just gotta cut your losses some days lol
I found some UHMW Polyethylene tape, after seeing Phantoms video. Its not as puncture resistant as the Battle Wrap sheets but i got the batteries completely covered in 2 layers. So far they have been pretty indestructible.
Nice! The most irritating thing at least for me is the heat shrink getting cut- like in this video. I might try some of the poly tape in combination with battle wrap, that could be even better protection. Luckily I've got all the weight in the world to play with since I don't run a gopro!
I got some battle wrap from phantom too. Great stuff. Got it on my Rlines. Sick video. I recently got trippys down.. need to try to reverse it. See what happens 😂
Ya man you have to over rotate to change your thrust vector to push you back into the opposite direction. I’m on Whidbey Island we should rip some time.
Loving your videos, huge respect for giving it 100% and you’ll get it 🤘🏻 I think van over or bubby we’re saying they over rotate when switching, like a full roll. But rewind has to be one of the hardest so well done so far bud 🤜🏻
Thanks for watching! Yea I've been noticing that on their footage. I'm currently grinding some simulator and that seems to be the key! Can't wait to try this again irl
lighter, faster, more uptilt. I had my best successes with racing drones...freestyle drones aren't well suited to trippy spins imo. At least not learning them. Practice triples on a cloudy day at about 100 ft, find a dark cloud and trippy looking at that, keeping it centered, try to maintain your altitude, then get lower and lower. This will let you get a feel of where the points are with your drones...every drone will be different because of power and uptilt.
I’ve tried higher uptilts and it really does help! Unfortunately most other freestyle seems best/most easily done at angles under around 35 or so. Can’t have it both ways unfortunately!

FPV WA! Tough tricks certainly make for a rough day, but it looks like you'll have it in no time man 👍
Yes they do haha. Thanks for the encouragement! I'll get it sometime
Eugene Oregon represent for the shit winter. Great flying !
🤣 at least it’s better than shitty snow, ice and negative temperatures! Thanks for watching dude!
Awesome video and skills!!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks! 😀
What part of the pnw are you from? I’m in the Salem area.

@@propabilityfpv Well you can if you really want it. They do make servos/mounts for that, and the dji fpv has that. lol
